Saturday there were at least three events going on at the same time in the local area to lighten the "Biker" wallet. The only one I am aware of (if wrong someone let me know and I will make the correction) that gave bucks Back to "BIKERS" was the "Road Runners" sponsored run ending at K&K fish camp. Proceeds going to benefit the family of long time area Biker "Breeze" who recently passed away . Also helping to show "Stormy" a little moral support on her Birthday. This is what runs are supposed to be about, remember? For some pics of the party click HERE. Thanks to the Road Runners and K&K for a job well done.
Now here is where I get a little cranked (well if you have been readin this here blog thingy you might think I get cranked a lot), As people that ride we can't control every little Ken and Barbie what wants to throw a run and try and get some of our bucks (recent ad in the most recent Thunder Magazine, "Cash in on the BIKER craze! Make big Bucks!" ). But we can damn sure control where we spend our bucks. I can tell ya right off the top of my head of three businesses in town that make good bucks off bikers but won't advertise in a rag that advocates for "BIKERS RIGHTS" cause their afraid (one even copped to it). But will advertise in the fluff mags. Hey but that's ok. It's America spend your bucks where ya want. Just remember, someday you may be down and looking to your bros for a little help. Hope they ain't out spending all their bucks on a doggie run.
And let me see if I can stoke a few more flames. The Wakulla County commission has decided to start screwing around with or screwing over (you pick) Outz II in Newport. After how many years now? They have decided the music at Outz's is to loud, they be checkin on the parking room and all sorts of "stuff". Now anybody that has been in the area for any length of time knows that Outz's has been supporting bikers for like how long? So what happens when the bands are quieted down. Business falls off. Thats bull! Ride down and see what can be done to help instead of riding away (Will try and get info on how you can help).
Or hell, just spend your bucks at the Thus. night fashion show.
