This link goes to a nationwide alert notifying motorcyclist to contact the Senate transportation committee and let them now they want SB2372 passed. This bill bans all use of cell phones while operating a motor vehicle. The most significant studies to date have demonstrated that a driver using a cell phone while operating a motor vehicle is at least 4 times more likely to be involved in a crash. This is the same as DUI. Using a cell phone (hands free or not) while operating a motor vehicle is the same as driving while intoxicated!
The senate transportation committee meeting is Monday 1:15 pm room 37 in the senate building. Does anyone have a need to use a cell phone while driving that is so great as to risk the lives of your loved ones.
