The answer.... Late

At the bottom of the 4/29 post I posed a little test. I am reminded I have not yet provided the answer.

Add an "S" to your roman numeral 9 and you have six. Ok now I admit that it probably seems pretty lame and I am easily overwhelmed by simple things. But when I first saw this, I was overwhelmed. What it taught me was that what was at first was a roman numeral, IX. With the addition of one piece of information that I did not see, but was always floating around out there , I just didn't see it. Reality changed. No longer did I have no longer have a roman numeral IX, but now I had an english letter six.

Now maybe that it ain't much for a lot of folk but what it drove home for me was to be very careful when I'm looking at something, or believing something. Because with the addition of one small piece of information that is floating around out there somewhere, everything I thought I saw or knew about something was no longer true.
