Not having a GPS, map or good sense of direction Jules (Tallahassee chapter road captain) and Connie graciously allowed me to tag along behind them. Which was a good thing because they did know where they were going. Knowing that I might be tagging along behind a couple of Chrome Divas did motivate me to wear my best pair of holy jeans. Well actually I didn't have much choice. It was my last pair of clean jeans. Here's a little tip. If your legs ain't seen the light of day for as long as mine have and you ride to Georgia in the middle of August, think sunscreen! The upside however is I can turn out the lights and follow my knees to the bedroom.
We met up with another couple, got our cards and headed out. We ended up on some really nice country back roads with some gentle curves that made one think of how things used to be. Well minus the one little town we passed through that made me wonder if Stephen King might not have vacation home there. You know, kinda like "Children of the Beans".
We didn't realize it till next to the last stop that me and another lady were running the same low straight and both need a five to complete. Aha, Competition. That made getting to Vanderhoffs (ending destination) all that more interesting. And you know who got the 5 right? Right, not me. Which is fine, the ride was good, and people were good. I wish the Thomasville Chrome Diva chapter good luck and thank all for their hospitality. Ride Free rcAdd to Technorati Favorites
