posted as received:This accident involves the Spokes Of Hope chapter of the Christian Motorcyclist's Association. Please put the families and friends of all involved, including the driver of the car,in your prayers.it would be easy to condemn the driver at fault but it would also be pointless. She,along with the others, paid a very high price for a moment of impulsive reaction.Details below are from an e mail sent by their chaplain. He was the fifth rider back and watched helplessly as the accident unfolded.I can only imagine the horror. The entire chapter and area CMAers are devastated, and we all share the loss.

On Friday August 10 at about 3:30 PM we departed Duncan, OK with five bikes for a trip to eastern Oklahoma for a weekend of riding and fellowship. We were traveling east on Highway 7. About seventeen miles into the trip a 1995 Nissan Altama crossed the center line and struck the first four bikes.
The first bike sustained damage to the left side but was not knocked down and the couple on the bike were not injured. The second bike hit the automobile head on and she(the rider) went home to the Lord. The third bike struck the automobile and went into the ditch. The woman on the second bike and the man on the third bike were married. The fourth bike hit the automobile and the couple that were riding it were ejected and both went home to the Lord.
I was driving the fifth bike and was not hit by the car. I was driving a trike, and the body received a great amount of damage from debris but my wife and I were not injured. The driver of the automobile was ejected onto the pavement. Both the automobile driver and the rider on the third bike were flown to Oklahoma City in critical condition.
Frank Day is in the hospital and we lost his wife Betty Jennie Day from Terrell, OK. We lost Rodger and Linda Gunter from Ryan Oklahoma. The funeral for Roger and Linda was yesterday. The funeral for Jennie Day is scheduled for Saturday August 18 at 10:00 AM in Waurika, OK.
Driver of car died Saturday. She dropped her cell phone and was retrieving it when she crossed the center line.
