This would normally require fines to be assessed in the amount of $50 per day for each day that each report was late, not to exceed $$5000,00 per report.
However their appears to be a cute little loophole that the state seems to have provided thats big enough to drive a truck through. Or maybe it is just that some folk get special consideration.
A fine shall not be assessed against a lobbying firm the first time any reports for which the lobbying firm is responsible are not timely filed. However to receive the one time fine waiver, all reports for which the lobbying firm is responsible must be filed within 30 days after notice that any reports have not been timely filed is transmitted by the lobbyist registration office. A fine shall be assessed for any subsequent late-file reports.
Mr. Reichenbach aka "Doc" filed the required reports after notification from the state within the 3o day time period.
Now dont'cha just love it, were it you or I our asses would be in jail. They don't give us no waiver for violating the law. Maybe the pres of American Bikers Aimed Towards Education needs a little education?Add to Technorati Favorites
