OCALA - The Florida Highway Patrol is seeking information on a hit-and-run driver involved in a fatal wreck on State Road 200 Wednesday night. Motorcyclist Phillip E. Medley, 59, of Summerfield, was killed in the four-vehicle crash at 8 p.m. on SR 200 just east of County Road 484, according to an FHP report.
Medley and the motorcycle were in the roadway when an unidentified driver traveling west on SR 200 collided with the motorcycle, came to a stop in the left turn lane and then left the scene.
Roberta K. Silvestro, 43, driving a 1996 Volvo, swerved to avoid the motorcycle and ended up hitting Medley, according to the FHP report.
A fourth driver, Teresa L. McLaughlin, 45, of Dunnellon, changed lanes in her Dodge to avoid the Volvo and struck the motorcycle with her car.
Silvestro and McLaughlin were not injured, according to the report.
