I really don't see this as an issue as I can't think of anyone who is going to schedule a funeral on a football day due to the traffic. Most funeral homes work around hometown traffic situations such as this. I have no doubt that one or the other of the law enforcement organizations will make themselves available for an escort of this type, but again, I have no jurisdiction over either of them or their actions and I can't presume to know what will happen in the future! I think both understand very clearly what would happen if they should not be able to provide an escort and am very comfortable that this is a moot issue. Thanks for contacting me and hope all is well with you!

And that is exactly the issue sir, why should any mother have to wait on a football game before burying her son or daughter that served you and I? I suspect those in Iraq and Afghanistan would take issue with the concept that this is a "moot issue". It is an issue of American Principle. Do we have any or not? Which comes first, Football or Servicemen? Take a stand Tallahassee and Leon County, which is it!Add to Technorati Favorites

  1. Idiot! He just doesn't "get it." Even more sad is he is an elected official overseeing millions of dollars and making decisions that effect 245,000 people. he'd rather call it a moot point and try not to deal with the situation, than to take a stand for his country, his freedoms, and the American heroes that have provided it. Just another ignorant Tallahassee coward.
