I just got off the phone with the WCTV reporter who interviewed me at noon today. She called Sheriff Campbell to get a response to my concerns. He had just gotten out of a meeting with the Chief of Police and they had agreed to give active duty heroes a full escort. My interview will air tomorrow with the updated info. After that, Major Johnson called me to confirm the meeting and agreement.
I want to thank ALL who took part in this effort, at bigbendbikersforfreedom, those who called or e-mailed the commissioners, and those who sent encouraging remarks. I also want to thank Commissioner Cliff Thaell who was willing to be the point man should this end up before the commission. We won't forget.

I just want to add a word of Thanks to Mike who has to jump through hoops for every mission. The work all PGR Road Captains is a whole lot more than "suit up and show up" and the only compensation they receive is knowing that through their efforts and other veterans organization, our veterans will not suffer the indignities of the past. I am very proud of all of the people that rallied together for a great cause and proved that together, we can really make a difference! The story will be in the Democrat tomorrow and it was on WCTV this morning.
