Artie's take on the Gang legislation posts

K-Y sounds like the needed investment with this particular scenario. We think, it's no big deal, but take the possibilities of this legislation further and Big Brother can easily eradicate motorcyclists. How, just consider this: I regularly wear my leather vest with lots of patches and am a member of SCRC, so am I wearing known "gang colors" since cops may not distinguish my vest from those of certain 1%ers?(not chunkin' rocks at anyone here, just trying to see the possibilities through LEO's eyes). There are those motorcycle clubs, that rightly or wrongly have been prosecuted under the RICO Statutes that it is not unusual to ride with on a Poker Run, catch at a biker party, and even a PGR Mission, etc. several times a year. So now we have myself who is NOT a member of a violent or criminal gang but now qualifies under the new statutes to be prosecuted as a member. As our Constitutional Rights continue to erode, we bikers may be the last of our dying, but free breed unless we collectively stand-up and stop this garbage. I understand the need to curb violence and criminal activity, but I'll be damned if it will be done at the expense of MY Constitutional Rights.Add to Technorati Favorites
