local LEO provides yet another escort, no not for a serviceman

Whilst Biker Bill and I was sweatin our little cojones off cooking in the 90+ degree heat at the Capital City Harley davidson open house and demo days we start hearing all these sirens.  Bunches of them.

Of course our immediate reaction is "what the hell is going on?"

Tilex, who was standing near us reply's,  "there's another football game today."

I'm like no, them bastards wouldn't. So I'm trying to scramble up on the grill (not a good idea) to get a better look and sure enough there go local LEO, lights flashing, sirens blaring escorting a number of buses through the light.

Well no we wasn't close enough to see inside the buses to see what important dignitaries might be inside.  We weren't privy to to what elite members of society may have occupied those buses that deserved such a red carpet roll out.  No sir, if your on the road when them air conditioned buses drinking up the gas that you can't find come hauling through escorted by Police then you gots to pull over.

But none of was gonna bet that the escort was for soldiers. Oh no, Local LEO don't do that.  They say they will, but then they flip flop all over the place like fish. Difference being fish have spines. Then they say they might do it for KIA's on football days if resources permit (of course they split the cost of providing police service to home games with FSU 50/50 then eat whatever FSU says they don't owe them. Thats resource allocation for you).

No our bet was them buses was full of football players from Tennessee. Our other bet was, none of them had been KILLED IN ACTION!Add to Technorati Favorites

  1. ...I knew when I heard the sirens that the local LEO's were playing favorites...they can meet and escort buses for football games to ensure safe arrival, etc...but will not to-date escort soldiers home to their families or final resting place...its pathetic and simply speaks "volumes"about priorties especially during war time...

  2. my God you mean we are in a war? Quick somebody tell the Tallahassee and Leon County Officials. Tell them American soldiers are dying. See if they will get up with FSU and throw another football game.
