Gainsville area soldier in need

Sent by Artie:

A young soldier from Williston, FL went to Iraq a strong and complete man. He came back just as strong, but not quite so complete. Due to an IED, Catlin Mixon lost both of his legs. This young man however has not let himself be crushed by this. On the contrary, he is trying to work on his family's farm and grandfather's ranch.

The VA provided this wounded warrior with the funds to get a base model Polaris Ranger, but the owner of Polaris of Gainesville has taken those funds and upgraded him to a top of the line 700XP.

This is where you come in. On October 11th, Polaris of Gainesville will be hosting a different kind of ride. Instead of the usual group ride or poker run, they will be having a time\distance run. Each bike will be given a sheet of directions to follow to cover an approximate 2-3 hour ride. The trick here is that you will be timed. The winner will not be the first in, but the person that does it in the closest to the prescribed time. That means not getting lost and paying attention to your speed.

Entry will be $10 per person, and 100% will go to setting up the Ranger for Catlin.

The Ranger needs...

Winch
Windshield
Roof
Lighting
Hand controls
Stereo
And anything else they can find to help

This is probably the most ambitious ride they have tried to set up and can not stress enough how great the cause is. Your support for this event would be greatly appreciated.
