PGR honored to stand in respect for Lewis Seay Jr.

Thanks to those who turned out to honor and pay respects to Vietnam/Legacy Vet Lewis Seay jr., who recently passed on, his family and his Brothers this morning. It was one of the PGR's better turn outs for this area as it should have been. Our prayers remain with his loved ones as we know he will be missed.Add to Technorati Favorites

Contempt prior to investigation-oh no, Again?

Although I would never intentionally do such a thing, it would appear that every once in awhile I write a post that really pisses some folk off. Go figure, I'm not sure I understand it. No sense of humor I reckon. But what would be funny were it not so sad is a conversation I had with a fellow the other day in which he informed me that some folk got upset over something I wrote and crawled his ass. See the thing is, they thought "he" wrote it.

Now I do appreciate them fine fellers visiting this little corner of exercising the constitutional right of freedom of speech and expression as purchased by the blood and tears of soldiers and their families. And I also support their right to get pissed at or have a different opinion of whatever my whacked little nine volt battery starved excuse for a brain may happen to do to my fingers whilst on the key board.

However what I might suggest before they go venting their need or desire to suppress, repress and/or censure somebody is that they make sure they are aiming at the right target.

So this is how it works for those who may be monitoring this little bloggy thing to insure it's political correctness as per there definition of "politically correct".

A. Read the heading. WE AIN'T POLITICALLY CORRECT! WE ARE JUST CORRECT (well not always but I have a whacked sense of humor).

B. Whenever we post something by somebody else we either link to it or state who said it. Helloooo, got that? Now there is the rare occasion when someone sends something requesting (for good reason) that I do not reveal the source. In those cases I will generally preface it by something like a reader sent this in, or something that makes it clear that what is being posted is somebody else's words.

C. If you need to jump on somebody for something that is posted here it maybe a good idea to :
1. Jump my ass first, and/or,
2. Check with me to make sure you read the damn post right.
3. Then jump my ass again.
4. We have three ways on this little site where you may express you different opinions. In fact we appreciate differences of opinion and encourage them. In fact one fine lady recently called me to task and the post is still there it has not been deleted. Damn you would think a man could do the same!

NOW, I hope we have that cleared up. But I do have one little nagging question that I can't help asking, if censuring speech and expression that offends your sensibilities is a priority for you, why are you reading a site about FREEDOM!
