Bud and Jim were a couple of drinking buddy bikers who worked as aircraft mechanics in Dallas, TX .

One day the airport was fogged in and they were stuck in the hangar with nothing to do. Bud said, "Man, I wish we had something to drink!"

Jim says, "Me too. Y'know, I've heard you can drink jet fuel and get a buzz. You wanna try it?" So they pour themselves a couple of glasses of high octane hootch and got completely smashed.

The next morning Bud wakes up and is surprised at how good he feels. In fact he feels GREAT! NO hangover! NO bad side effects. Nothing. Then the phone rings. It's Jim.

Jim says, "Hey, how do you feel this morning?"

Bud says, "Man, I feel great. How about you?"

Jim says, "I feel great, too. You don't have a hangover?"

Bud says, "No that jet fuel is great stuff -- no hangover, nothing. We ought to do this more often."

"Yeah, well there's just one thing."

"What's that?"

"Have you farted yet?"

"No."

"Well, DON'T, 'cause I'm in Denver...............

Florida SB 802's has the Florida Legislature crossed the line into treason?

Although the concerns over HB137 and SB 802 were initially over bike confiscation it would appear that a disturbing pattern has, I hope, not gone unnoticed. Consider the following from

"Sweet, arrested earlier this month on a misdemeanor possession charge, instantly and unwillingly joined a growing list of residents who have had their vehicles seized as part of a little-known city ordinance.

A 21-year-old waitress who attends St. Petersburg College, Sweet lost her car, handed over hundreds of dollars to a towing company and found out the hard way that local cities have the right to take cars for even the smallest of crimes.

"I'm like, what are you doing? I was upset," recalled Sweet, who said the tow truck arrived minutes after the officer spotted the small bag of marijuana in her car after pulling her over for speeding."

Also included in this article: "But legal scholars say the fine amounts to STATE-SPONSORED EXTORTION, and even the Florida Supreme Court said this summer it has "serious" constitutional concerns with the policy.

A pending case in an appellate court could doom the seizure policy across the state and force law enforcement agencies to return thousands of dollars collected in fines.

"They are money-making ordinances in the guise of fighting prostitution and other minor crimes," said Miami-based attorney Ronald S. Guralnick, who is challenging the car seizures and fines in a class-action lawsuit. "There are huge sums of money involved."

A three-judge panel of the Florida Third District Court of Appeals ruled last week that Miami's vehicle seizure program has been violating the state constitution for more than a decade. Under a city ordinance, police officers have been seizing vehicles merely by asserting "probable cause" that they had been involved in drugs, prostitution or the illegal dumping of litter. Once impounded, the car is not released unless the owner pays a $1000 "administrative civil penalty" plus towing and storage costs that can run several hundred dollars. The city has made more than $12 million from the program.

The court also found that the city's "preponderance of the evidence" standard of guilt was too weak for a statute that deprives individuals of their property. It also found that vehicle owners who did not know that their car was being used for allegedly illegal acts were nonetheless punished.

"We do not believe that an ordinance that does not allow for an innocent owner to be immune from loss of property and additional monetary penalties can satisfy due process," the court concluded. "Having found three constitutional flaws with the city's ordinances, we decline the city's invitation 'to impose additional requirements' to make the ordinances constitutional. Appellate courts should not be in the business of drafting ordinances to make them constitutional."

NOW CONSIDER THE ONLY OBJECTION THE SENATE TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE EXPRESSED RE: SB802:

After the new amendment was read, the only opposing comment from the Transportation Committee was concern over the fiscal "burden" faced by the state to jail a driver who injures or kills in the process of a traffic violation.

Now keep in mind that this writer provided the committee members with a handout highlighting the constitutional issues noted above.

And what was it the committee was concerned about, 'MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THIS LAW IS ABOUT NOTHING MORE THAN REVENGE, GET BACK AND MONEY!!!
Pure and Simple.

So much so that the committee members are willing to sacrifice not just your rights, but YOUR LIFE, to please the fascists among them, save bucks and make bucks.

I CALL THAT THE FLORIDA SENATE GIVING NOT JUST FLORIDA BIKERS, BUT ALL FLORIDA CITIZENS, THE BIG "F*&K YOU" and a declaration of WAR!

YOU, yes YOU, whether you live in Florida or not, think on this post and the actions of the Florida legislature (it could be your state) for just a couple minutes.

The conclusion I hope you would reach: The committee members have acted in collusion to subvert the rights and endanger the lives of American citizens. They have conspired to and acted in, willful and wanton disregard of the spirit of the "Declaration of Independence" and the Constitution of these UNITED states. This is at the least traitorous and borders on TREASON. As treason is an attempt to overthrow the government and in America the American PEOPLE are the Government!

What say you America? I suspect the sound of silence will be deafening.

has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their Public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures

has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance.

has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:

For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent

For depriving us in many cases, of the benefit of Trial by Jury:

For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:

has abdicated Government here, by declaring us out of his Protection and waging War against us.

In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us.

Again I ask what say you America? A upsurge of Americans across the country
