A Perry man was airlifted to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital Friday evening following a motorcycle crash on Hampton Springs Road in Taylor County.

The Florida Highway Patrol reported that Lawton Whiddon, 56, was riding on Hampton Springs Road when he lost control of his 2008 motorcycle and was ejected.
He was listed in serious condition. The crash occurred at 8:11 p.m. The report indicates that Whiddon was wearing a helmet.

Olympic Poker run, end of the line
A good time was had by all at K&K Fish Camp the final stop of the Olympic Memorial Run held to benefit the Poeski Family. There was helmet bowling, washer toss, and even a gator or two showed up to see what the fuss was about.
