KIA Sgt. Briand T. Williams, rest in peace
Sgt. Briand T. Williams, 25, of Sparks, Ga., died Nov. 22, in Numaniyah, Iraq, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit using small arms fire. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 10th Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Benning, Ga.
Yesterday Dec. 5th 4 motorcycles and two vehicles left Tallahassee approx. 7:00am. We met up with other PGR riders in Thomasville, Ga. and from there rode to Adel, Georgia to meet with other PGR riders to escort Sgt. Briand T. Williams, 25 to his final resting place.
Though it was a cold and damp ride, to see the turn out of a town the size of Adel to honor one of their fallen would warm any heart. Not to mention bring a tear to an eye.
We could not help but believe that every city and county leo car was their leading the procession.
Rest in Peace Warrior Williams. May your cause not be forgotten and thank you for your service.
