The following was received from a long time member. We hope we have removed any identifying features as we all know the ABATE of Florida's propensity to lay the blame for his failures elsewhere and seek retribution on those who would point them out.
To: Doc, state president;
When this issue with Treasur Coast was discussed and voted on at a state meeting I believe that the delegates were not well informed enough to have made a sound decision! A failure on your part! In the past, when I believe it was Skyway wanted to join ABATE you stood up and said no chapter would be formed on the pretense of stepping on an existing chapters toes. Now it is my understanding that at the meeting when treasure coast scammed their way in you said and I quote “there are no boundaries for chapters" another flip flop on you part. Now that there is a problem you say to work it out amongst yourselves! Great leadership!
For all others who are reading this let me explain something to you. The officers who now make up treasure coast ( a chapter who should have never been allowed) left because they could not bam boozle, sneak around back, or lie to get their way so they went and started a chapter to abuse that power to do nothing but sit off to the side like a bunch of crows waiting to sneak in and create disharmony and due ill will to the Independence Chapter. It was started with a negative, back sided intention and that in fact will be their downfall.
This situation is just part of the reason ABATE is losing dedicated "Freedom Fighters"! There are many other reasons, but many other reasons are because it starts at the top and the proverbial shit is running downhill. WE are not a feared entity in the State of Florida by politicians. Not one of them is afraid of us and is not threaten by us. Nor do they believe they need to work with us. They should be but they are not. Their are too many at the top of ABATE who have their own agenda (typical of many of today’s politicians who screw us) and belong to so many things it is impossible to dedicate themselves to serving the membership of ABATE in a productive manor! (emphasis ours) Just like the Tea Parties I believe their needs to be a change that we can believe in! ABATE needs to quit talking about what we have done in the past and start MAKING THINGS HAPPEN NOW AND IN THE FUTURE! NO MORE RANTS AND RAVES AND THREATS TO PEOPLE! The same old same old isn’t working anymore! Time for fresh blood and membership getting their monies worth!
It is time for peace and harmony, brotherhood and sisterhood and great accomplishments to be done by the great members of ABATE!
I hope to see ya’ll in June if my job will allow and I am not barred from entry at the door and I would ask ALL chapter Presidents to be there for the good of ABATE!
