Florida's Capital city has not yet learned that "bullshit walks" -A pattern that illustrates their lie!

We have heard all kinds of excuses as to why The Leon County Sheriffs or Tallahassee Police Department can not escort returning veterans. They have jumped through every word game imaginable until their agreement to escort soldiers turned into, well only if they were killed in action, in a designated war zone and we ain't to busy doing something more important and have staff available.

On at least two occasions these Chest pounding patriots (I puke) even asked if we could not participate or at least minimize our participation???????

What??????

Hell one Commissioner even asked if we could get the families of KIA's not to schedule a funeral during a football game.

What???????

The County sheriff and the TPD Police force has advised us that it is too dangerous, that they have lost to many officers during escorts. Yet this wasn't a problem while they were escorting football players and horses, it only became a problem when we started asking them to escort soldiers????

Hello, somebody tell me, what is two plus two? Them cycle cops ride good. You ever watch em spend your tax dollars dropping them bikes at the Police Rodeos. They ride damn good. They also been heard to say they wouldn't practice on their own bikes. Why? Cause you would not be paying for the damage they do to their own bikes!

The County Sheriff even went so far as to send us a Supreme Court ruling that he reads as prohibiting him from using officers for escorts?????

I read the ruling and still have to go ??????? And apparently every chief in every community around her must have failed to,

A. Get the same interpretation from the ruling, and

B. Are better able to control their traffic so that they do not lose officers to escort, or

C. Understand that the least you can do beside putting your life on the line for football players when soldiers are putting their lives on the line for you is to grow a few cohones and take a risk to demonstrate respect and honor.

My bet, the street cop would do it in a heartbeat were it not for the political spinelessness that has the cops putting even escorts for their own on hold just to make a point that they aren't gonna be persuaded to do the right thing.

We went back through our site and tried to find the runs we have mentioned here and which ones were escorted by police and which ones weren't. Now I am convinced our readers are smart enough to see that something don't add up when every community in the area willingly does what Florida's Capital City makes excuses to avoid doing.

So heres the list. If police escort or lack of such is not noted it is because we can not document it. Note also, there have not been enough runs in the city proper for the we don't have the money excuse to wash.

Those of us from this neck of the woods beat it back to Tally to ride to attend the posthumous promotion ceremony for SPC Robert Allen Wise at the McMillan National Guard Armory on Sunday the 13th. This was one of the largest turnouts we have had in the tally area with riders from Panama City and Jacksonville. It was awesome when we we pulled up to his mothers house to escort her to the Armory. Even more awesome was when she said it was the best ride she had in her life.

Sgt Brooks was 25 year Army Vietnam Vet who spent the last years of his life as an ROTC instructor at East Gadsen High School. Patriot Guard Welcomes US ARMY Private Riley home Yesterday approx. 9 Patriot Guard Riders arrived at the Tallahassee Airport to Welcome home from Iraq US Army Private Aaron Riley.
We formed a Flag-line inside the airport for the family. As they went to get in their vehicles PGR members lined up alongside capital circle to escort the Private Riley and his family home.
As usual in Leon County PGR took care of taking care of traffic. As usual when we crossed the Leon County Line into Wakulla County we were picked up by Wakulla County Sheriff Deputies to escort us through Crawfordville into Panacea.

Tallahassee Police Department says no To escort for CWO Carl Davis It seems a call was put in to the Tallahassee Police Department requesting an Escort for the CWO Carl Davis military family(his son in Uniform) and his burial. The line was, we will only provide escorts for those Killed in Action. So I am going to have to assume that the money the city lost last year in service to FSU football games was because the players were "killed in action". Mr/ Davis was escorted by the PGR 1/17/09
