We have spoke of how our (bikers/Americans) own actions are hurting us (bikers/AMericans) and that we are the ones that allow this to occur.
Yesterday (Sat) was a prime example of how this occurs.
The area Patriot Guard had three missions on tap for yesterday. Two Funerals and one where a flag was being transported by hand/bike from California to the Daughter of a KIA on the East Coast of Florida.
Area PGR participation in the Flag run had to be canceled as the Funerals of those who serve our country and protect our freedoms are priority.
Interestingly enough one of the funerals was in south Georgia for the relative of a CMA/Patriot Guard Member.
The reason Tallahassee and Panama City PGR members had to take up the slack was because in Georgia, was because GA. PGR was "awol."
As to CMA (Christian Motorcycle Association) being there in a time of need for one of their "Brothers" Following is an e-mail that was forwarded to me Saturday am. (names have been deleted):

????????????? Who knows, maybe it was lack of communication. However effective communication is the cornerstone of effectiveness for any organization. I could be wrong but I would not think iit necessary to point that out to a "Brotherhood".
As to local riders. I know of other rides that occurred yesterday. Some of which included PGR members. I can only suspect that these rides were either:
A. More important, or
B. More fun
Either/or they were obviously more important than honoring and paying respects to those who gave their lives
out of duty, so those of us on the home front could make the choice to play with little thought givin to the tears of loved ones saying their final goodbyes.
The absence of Buffalo Soldiers had to have been as disheartening to the tally mission as the "missing in action" CMA had to have been to the Georgia funeral. This because they are suppose to represent the "black" community.
Could it be that the White PGR that show consistently at Black funerals are more of a "Brother"????
I'm not sure if the above was a "politically correct" statement to make. And don't rightly care. Sometimes expressions of reality must take precedence over reality.
Of Course HOG's mantra of "screw it lets ride" pretty much explains their conspicuous absence from activities of substance.
However Yesterdays procession down Monroe, as usual without the help of area LEO, or and media announcements as to the route as was requested (And yes that includes a lack of response to an e-mail sent WFLA's Preston Scott who raved about a Georgia escort, sent him, on his show. But maybe he is still stuck on the people that fail to respond to him while he ignores others) THERE MIGHT HAVE BEEN A LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL.
For the first time since we have been providing these escorts, it looked as if the citizens of Tallahassee might have caught on. Cagers did pull over, cagers did wait patiently at lights as we passed through, The horns of impatience seemed strangely muted. It was truly EERIE!
While at the same time sad. Could it be that the cagers that "bikers" rail against are getting the message before the Bikers????? Could it be that the cagers understand more about respect than the "BIKERS" that holler they do not get any???
It is a truism that if you want respect you have to give it.
Now I have no doubt that I will receive e-mails from some of the members of some of the groups I have mentioned referring to me as an arrogant son of bitch or worse as has been the case in the past.
But here is the thing, If you or your organization does not fucking give a flip about those who have
died in YOUR service or one of your brothers being put into the ground, then chances are I will not waste much time worrying about what you or your organization thinks.
Yes I know that the organizations mentioned could care less. It is obvious that they care very little.
THOSE WHO WILL NOT TAKE A STAND FOR SOMETHING
