I'm back!!!! But why????

A number of people commented on my recent lack of postings for which there are a variety of reasons.

1. Finances. Believe it or not the time and effort put into providing the info that is contained on this site and in the news letter (Let Freedom Reign) that we provide for free (no the few advertisers we have do not even come close to paying for printing).

So comes a time when you have to focus and make a few bucks. Which I have been doing and year to date my trading account is up approx. over 80%.  Of course 80% of not much is still not very much.  I mention this not to brag (once again 80% of not very much is still not very much), but because we apply the same methods to our trading as we do to this site. Research! Looking at history! Separating fact from fiction!  By doing so percentage wise anyway we are ahead of many of the so called professionals. Of course this can change at anytime. That is how life works.

Now this isn't fun, nor easy and requires hours of focusing on minutia. I could, as opposed to doing my own research, listen to the talking heads on various media and lose my ass.  Just as I could rely on the
various fwd, fwd, fwd's that arrive in my inbox as a source of information and become badly misinformed.

Now although others may not, I and others who engage in same, feel what we are doing is important. We Believe in the "cause". In our case the cause being "Freedom"/"Liberty".  See in some minds, freedom is the greatest profit of all.  Yet we find we are becoming more and more reluctant to piss in the wind. Which brings us to,

2.  Burn out and possibly capitulation to ignorance.  I know a number of  blogger's who devote as much if not more time and energy than I in seeking out, verifying and printing the truth of the decline of America as it was designed to be by our forefathers. All have little Donation buttons on their sites as this one does.  All report the same results, little to nothing for their efforts (we do have one or two supporters that we are extremely grateful to. With out them we could not do what little we have done).

Yet these bloggers. and here I differentiate between partisan sites with a disguised agenda and sites that have no problem bashing either side of the political spectrum, continue at personal expense and loss. While others are out partying, playing, having fun and solving the worlds problems at the bar stool (I can say this because I have been guilty of it)?

So why do they do what they do? Obligation? A sense of duty? Repayment of debt left us by the founders of this country and blood spilled by soldiers in wars since to protect it?  Because they actually care? Do they/we suffer from some delusion that we are the minutemen of the era or do we just enjoy hours of googling and typing only to see our efforts ignored due to a preference for ignorance as long as it supports a false belief system?

Currently I have pages of book marks "quoting" investors, economists and the like who play the game based not on sound fundamentals, but on how it is rigged.   Even the Pollyanna of  investing, Warren Buffett, has said we have killed the dollar but continues to play the game. The big money people, the ones whose names you have never heard of, form multi-national corporations and hedge funds and purchase countries via their politicians and then demand the politicians pay them (How many of the bankers responsible for one of the largest periods of wealth destruction have been prosecuted for crimes against humanity via unemployment, loss of homes, and the accompanying suffering have been prosecuted?  How much money have you and I been robbed of to insure they might continue with their plundering while all the time engaging in lifestyles most of us can not even imagine?)

Where are the infrastructure jobs fixing roads, damns and bridges that are in such historically bad shape as to place cities such as Nashville, Tennessee at risk of destruction (google it, we do) that could reduce unemployment and kick start the economy? The money promised for these projects has gone where? Into the same hands that made billions/trillions disappear with impunity.

And what is the public's response to being raped, pillaged and plundered?

Those who are not blithely skipping along the yellow brick road looking for a wizard to solve all their problems are even more ignorantly jumping on partisan bandwagons as corrupt as the corruption they protest against. Then there are those who could care less as long as they can get theirs and will not cry out until they see that more of "theirs" is quickly becoming the governments who supports the profiteers that exported our jobs overseas to take advantage of lower wages so that we could feed at the trough of debt to support slavery overseas.  The whole time not recognizing the chains of bondage we have created for ourselves and our children and their children.

It is not that we haven't been warned. Because we have been. Throughout history we have been warned.  And throughout history we have narcissisticly adopted the attitude that we are so special that
we deserve the fruits of others labors. That slavery is o.k. as long as it provides us the opportunity to
pay less for that which we may not need but so dearly crave, stuff, more stuff, bigger stuff, fancier stuff
stuff to mortgage our souls for.

Then when we wake up and find ourselves in economic bondage we claim a higher moral standard and blame others with faulty data as being the root of all evil.

Will we post more?  Probably. We are driven. But all the words we have ever written or will ever write can be distilled to the simple saying, "What goes around comes around".

Some of us will be fortunate enough to die before our hypocrisy bites us in the ass. However our children and grand children will suffer for it.  But you know what I suspect, that we are to damn selfish to give a fuck about what happens to our children and grandchildren.  Yet we will still fill the church pews and proclaim ourselves children of God.   Somewhat amusing isn't it?Add to Technorati Favorites

Yes we are going to hell in hand basket

We have ripped this off from

John Robb's Weblog

http://globalguerrillas.typepad.com/johnrobb/2009/09/no-rising-tide.html

We have done so for a reason. In many of our previous posts we have referenced,America increasingly becoming a nation of haves and have nots. That this phenomena is not unique. It's has occurred before in history. Never with a good out come.

Nice depiction of a system in decline

The implications of this chart are staggering....
This might be one:

There is a strong line of reasoning that the USSR collapsed when the nomenklatura (bureaucratic elites, the most important people in a government run economy) decided to work against the state.  In short, the non-financial benefits of being in the bureaucracy were in decline as attempts were made to reform the Soviet system.  So, when a window of opportunity arrived (the attempt to privatize sectors of the economy to improve economic performance), they jumped at it.  A trickle of privatization turned into a flood as the nomenklatura looted the state of anything/everything of value.

I think that this is a more plausible reason for the decline of the USSR than anything else that I've heard.

How the mechanism that collapsed the USSR (per the above) applies to the US has yet to be seen.  But, as the chart above shows us, something very, very wrong is in motion.   It goes beyond Republican/Democrat, conservative/liberal, public/private, and all of the common methods of division or debate.  It's systemic.
