Tallahassee Patriot Guard and VNV oF America throw a run

Saturday marked the second annual Patriot Guard and Vietnam Veterans of America Salute to Veterans
Poker run.  Despite a possible scare of bad weather in the middle of the week you could not have ask for a sweeter day.

The run started with approx. 185 bikes leaving out of Pockets Pool and Lounge. From there they hit Southern Spirits (aka County Line), Hookwreck Henrys in Panacea,  Skybox in Crawfordville and ended at Ouzts Too in Newport.

Z and TZ were waitin on em with some well cooked, delicious pork, slow cooked by TZ, beans and something called coleslaw.  Local Favorite H.J. Kuntry warmed the Crowd up for Heather Ireland and the Poplar Road ban who took over when it started getting crowed.

Kudo's to Heather who was told to stay in bed by her Dr. but crawled out to do this gig with  her band at  no charge because it was for the Vets.  Folks if you haven't heard this group make it your mission to do so. These folk are gonna be the next big ticket fer sure. Country to Southern Rock they got it covered. IF you left early you missed out. Something happened as eve came close and them folk pulled out all the stops and bout burnt up the equipment.

The Ouzts crew could not have been more accommodating as their little butts was gettin run ragged.

Top hand went out to David Pienta who took in a cool grand. Scott got worst hand for 50.

Door prizes were mobbed and got a little crazy. So yeah, not everything went smoothly. But it ain't supposed to. It's about the cause and the lifestyle. And of course there is always the 50/50.

There were a lot of folk that worked hard on this but the biggest thanks goes out to the riders who suited up and showed up to support vets and have a good time.  There were representatives from about every club in the area. For that The PGR and Vietnam Vets of America are grateful.

It is only hoped that this gig can grow every year so that those who have served us can be served.

We got some pics up here. Hope to have more up later.  Thanks to Thomasville Road Captain Harry for helping with pics.Add to Technorati Favorites

Panama Citys E chapter of the VNV/Legacy Vets throw a poker run

A few of us rode over from Tallahassee last weekend to catch the goings on at the VNV/Legacy Vets
Annual Poker run. We heard something like three hundred bikes turned out. As usual it was a jam up job and worth the ride. If you have never been to it try it next year. Click here to see a few pics.Add to Technorati Favorites
