This was in response to our post on Tallahassee's newest Bike night at the Ale House:
RC,
I agree. I attended last week. I also reported my feedback on www.tallahasseesportbikers.com , as well as my new sportbike blog. I realize it is sponsored by Capital City Harley Davidson, but it seemes even more cruiser oriented than Hooters Bike night in Tallahassee, FL. I thank CCHD for doing it and giving us bikers something to do. The flyer said they would be giving out prizes. However, the prizes were giving out like this: "Show me a Harley shirt,or a HD emblem here's a prize, show me a marqarita here's a prize, show me a Miller lite beer here's a prize. I'm not against cruiser bikers, it's just not my preference. It definitely seems like all the Tallahassee bike nights are cruiser oriented. I don't drink often and definely not when riding or operating a motor vehicle.
I did enjoy the performance of Jimmy Gillis. He does a great job in my opinion. He was performing Friday at the Salty Dawg. I found out he has his own website at jimmygillis.com
Thanks to Millers Ale and CCHD for sponsoring another bike night. I believe a local sportbike rider is trying to get another bike night started. I believe it may be centered more around or towards sportbikes. I generally wave at all bikers, nothing against any of them, please don't take this the wrong way. I'm on the younger side and prefer sportbikes, but wish all the bike nights were not majority geared towards the cruisers. I came to your site to contact you and see if you had heard about Millers bike night, yet. I'm still not getting email notifications from your blog. I know I contacted you a few weeks ago and you had said you were really busy like everyone else due to this crazy economy. I believe Tallahassee sportbike syndicate has pulled the plug on their website.
