The 78-year-old woman, Gabrielle Shaink Trudeau, was initially pulled over in September for driving too slowly. She was then issued a ticket for driving on a suspended or revoked license. After failing to show up for a court appearance, a judge issued an arrest warrant for the criminal charge that carries a penalty of up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine.
Ten days after the ticket was issued, Shaink Trudeau received a letter from the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, saying that her driving privileges were restored pending further review. While she believed her driving troubles were solved, the letter was actually in response to another incident.In November, police arrested Shaink Trudeau at her home.
"They came on real strong, like I had killed somebody or something,'' she told the Miami Herald of the arrest.
Public defenders failed to appear at her initial court appearance, and no assistant public defender met with Shaink Trudeau at the Broward County Jail, the newspaper reported. On the morning of her initial appearance, the pretrial services division found that Shaink Trudeau was eligible for pretrial release on her own recognizance, but failed to alert the judge of that, the newspaper reported.
Finally, at her arraignment on Dec. 2, 15 days after her arrest, prosecutors dropped the charges against her.
"She's handcuffed like Houdini, for the record. She's got chains around her waist, and she's got handcuffs in front around her hands as if she was some kind of a violent criminal,'' the judge said at her final hearing on Dec. 2, according to the newspaper. "I want her released. I think she's suffered enough at our system's mistakes.''

We suspect it was not one of our wider read posts. Probably due to our attempt to substantiate our claim with links that may or may not have been a bit to cerebral. Our experience has been that challenging ones thought processes is a sure way to get them to stop reading.
However before you stop reading this post let me shout "PELOSI"!!!!! Their have I got your attention now? I mean after all it works for the Holy Trinity of Rush, Beck and Hannity doesn't it?
Though unlike them we won't be hollering Pelosi, Pelosi, Pelosi, because unlike the "THREE WISE MEN" we are inclined to believe that it is somewhat difficult to pin all the ills of America on one woman or man. Or even one party for that matter and CBS NEWS (see here) has illustrated our contention for us fairly well we think.
Seems House Speaker Nancy Pelosi went to the Climate Summitt and chose 19 of her friends to go with her. DEMOCRAT and REPUBLICAN alike. Now mind you we paid for this party (keep reading because a party it was), but hang on, we didn't just pay the tab for our elected "RULERS", but for there staff and family too.
That's right. While over 19 million people are unemployed and those who do have any income are extorted in order to insure the bankers receive the same bogus bonuses that some economist believe helped to get us into this shape (should we mention the fed had it's largest income on record last year)
we paid to send 101+ to the party. Many of whom could not tell you the difference between a hole in the ozone, the hole in their heads, or the hole in their ass.
They did however know where their pie holes were. As CBS quotes Senator Inhofe (R-OK) , one of the few who provided any detail.
CBS news was referred to Nancy Pelosi for details since she got to call the shots on who could go (hmm now why did she take republicans). But she was in a refuse to answer questions mood.
You know like, HEY YOU SUCKERS, we just had a grand ol time leaving a giant carbon footprint on your dime and you expect us to explain it to the common vassal, be gone with you......
A little like the "Let them eat cake" gig if you will (even if nobody knows who really said that, except that it wasn't Marie Antionette) don't you think.
We suspect that we will hear the 3 Wise men rail on against Pelosi. We can't say we have much respect for either. Less however for a citizenship that allows themselves to be enslaved by such.Add to Technorati Favorites

Add senators and staff, most of whom flew commercial, and we counted at least 101 Congress-related attendees. All for a summit that failed to deliver a global climate deal.And of course all that traveling is exhausting for our already overworked and under paid elected. So those who represent us by manning the tiller as this once great country goes the way of Rome, the British Empire and all others populated by citizenry who allowed themselves to be lulled into a stupor by "fiat economies" and Colosseum games stayed where else, but at Copenhagens 5-star Marriott of course.
As a perk, some took spouses, since they could snag an open seat on a military jet or share a room at no extra cost to taxpayers. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) was there with her husband. Rep. Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) was also there with her husband. Rep. Ed Markey (D-MA) took his wife, as did Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI). Congressman Barton -- a climate change skeptic -- even brought along his daughter.
