| Counter Steering: If you push the left bar, the bike goes left. If you push the right bar, the bike goes right. That is, unless you keep pushing the right bar all the way, then you will probably go left while the bike swaps ends. Crashing: Remember riding isn't inherently dangerous...crashing is. The Sidelines: It's always better to be on the sidelines wishing you were on the track than on the track wishing you were on the sidelines. Fuel: The ONLY time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire. The Rear Wheel: The rear wheel is just a big fan used to keep the rider cool and his butt relaxed. If in doubt... watch. When it locks up or slides out you can actually see the rider start sweating and pucker marks are left on the seat. Too Slow: No one has ever hit something too slow. Rides: A 'good' ride is one you can walk away from. A 'great' ride is one you can walk away from and use the bike again. Getting Hit: They can't hit you if you're not there. Mistakes: Learn from the mistakes of others. You won't live long enough to make all of them yourself. Traction: When traction is sparse, the probability of survival is inversely proportional to the angle of lean. Large angle of lean, small probability of survival and vice versa. Your Brain: Never let a motorcycle take you somewhere your brain didn't go five seconds earlier. Fog: Stay out of fog. The single red taillight you think is another rider ahead that you can catch, might be the red starboard light of a docked boat. Parking: Always try to keep the number of times you park the bike equal to the number of times you've ridden it. Luck & Experience: You start with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck. Mirrors: If all you can see in your mirrors is the direction you were previously traveling intermingled with sparks, and all you can hear is commotion from the passenger riding pillion; things are not at all as they should be. Other Objects: In the ongoing battle between objects made of metal, rubber and plastic going dozens of miles per hour, and the ground going zero miles per hour, the ground has yet to lose. Same holds for cars, trucks, walls and most animals. Draws don't count. Judgment: Good judgment comes from experience. Unfortunately, experience usually comes from bad judgment. Going Forward: It's always a good idea to keep the headlight end going forward as much as possible. Looking: Keep looking around. There's always something you've missed. Laws: Remember, gravity and centrifugal force are not just good ideas. They're laws not subject to repeal. Clean Underwear: " Make Sure you have on clean underwear in-case your in an accident" . This is something a Mom would say. If your in an accident especially on a motorcycle your underwear will become a diaper , it will not matter how clean they were. And lady's if you wear a thong while riding...........You get the picture Road Rash : This is not limited to falling off your bike: Think before you ride behind a truck hauling pigs or cows or chickens or sheep......or bricks, lumber, stones ,gravel .... Animals : sheep are often known to be rather dumb. In the Bible the Christians are often alluded to as sheep or a flock , not sure of the connection However I do know deer aren't much smarter. They do not need a moving target to slam into, Stopping for them to cross the street means you now have become their challenge to jump over,They can clear a 6 foot high fence, Don't expect them to clear 4 feet of human being. Helmets : They are used to prolong the settlement of your estate. The folks who told you not to buy that bike will have to wait a little longer for you to die and leave them everything because the helmet kept your brain working while the rest of your mangled body rots. Women: You will meet the most awesome woman while on your bike. Right about the time you take your two up seat off and leave it sharing shelf space in the garage. Pets : They are awesome !! They don't have birthdays, anniversary, in-laws, They don't care about jewelry. If they bleed for a week they are going to die . You can give the neighbor a few bucks to look after them. The longer you are gone the happier they are to see you. They are glade with anybody you bring home. You can control the amount of times they give birth. They can't call 911 and they won't testify against you. When they get chubby they look cute. They don't require clothes. T - Clocks: If the little Lady is all happy about you buying a "Big " bike you know all you can afford and all she ask is for you to double your life insurance . you had better learn all about this thing called T-Clocks. Riding Girlfriends : A guy has few precious places to escape. Why would you want to share this with the tormentor ? When the subject comes up Kindly say you see no need for her to have a bike as there is no HWY between the kitchen and the bedroom. This will end the conversation about her getting a bike . there may be collateral damage to deal with ,but that is what the bike is for, escapeAdd to Technorati Favorites. |

Hat Tip to Artie for passing this on. Love it!
Of course we don't need a health care bill or bank reform, we should all be buying KY instead
Harry Markopolos was ignored by the SEC when he blew the whistle on Bernie Maddoff, we are guessing because they were to busy watching porn to do what we pay them to do, e.g. insure we are not being ripped off, has turned his sights on the medical industry.
According to Markopolis in an interview with CNN's Sanjay Gupta M.D.
According to Quackwatch and CNNMoney magazine the problem may be causing us as much as a $100 billion a year!
Much of the interview that aired on CNBC last night was focused on how Doctors commit fraud.
Not taking into account how the insurance companies screw us over as we posted here:
(Link)Poker Runs for charities, is our desire to help losing lives?
(link) Insurer flags breast cancer victims, "Bikers" riding for charities need to be forming an Army
And why would we need financial reform on wall street? Has any one read any of the following?
Bailout Economics 101
Government collude with banks to screw us all, more proof of the American Klepocracy
A picture of the new American slavery-you have been fooled
More US "Traitor" cor[porations moving to China
The Banks are still reaming us, just worse than you thought
Who is Phillip Davis and why you should know who he is.
How far from economic bondage
or maybe just start anywhere in here.
None of these problems miraculously showed up on our doorstep the day Obama became president!
They have been known about for years as we all turned a blind eye, because after all, we were doing pretty good weren't we?
Now all of sudden we have God knows how many grass roots groups bitching and moaning and pointing fingers. People are hollering throw out the government, we need to return to the old days.
The question is, which old days? Snake oil salesmen have been around forever. The only difference between then and now is we now have enough "suckers" to vote the son of a bitches into office and then leave them alone to wreak havoc.
And that may be just because we have been working our own hustle trying to get all that we can at the expense of somebody else. After all, who did pick, bent over all day in the hot sun, the poor excuse for veggies Mikey dees puts on your burger? Who is it made your Nikes, in a Asian sweat shop at the age of 10? What African or south American kid risked his life pulling gold out of a ditch so you could wear it around your neck?
Karma's a funky kind of thing isn't it! It's kinda like that Christian thing, you know don't you, the one about doing unto others...............

BIker Rogue endorses Frankie KEnnedy for ABATE of Florida President
From Biker Rogue:
Frankie Kennedy attended the monthly meeting of the Independence Chapter of ABATE of Florida on 4/27/2010 in Melbourne Florida. This is my home chapter and I was present. I had some questions for him when he finished his presentation. He answered them to my satisfaction. I also had a private discussion with him at the end of the meeting.
I have decided to endorse him for President of ABATE of Florida.
I would like to suggest others contact him and ask him what ever questions you may have. There is contact information on the chapter web site.
I feel that the current president of ABATE of Florida Doc Reichenbach is not doing a good job of representing the motorcyclist of the state.
ABATE of Florida is a bad word among many of the people and organizations that fight for motorcyclist rights. By voting for Frankie here is a chance to change that. I believe in time ABATE of Florida can once again become an organization that people can be proud to be a member of.
In my opinion Doc Reichenbach has been in office to long and continues to serve his own interests above the motorcycle riders of Florida.
I am requesting that everyone in ABATE of Florida take this election of your future leadership Very Serious.
Listen to what the candidates say, but also what others say and then decide who you want to lead the organization into the future.
Let the officers of your chapter know how you want in office!

ABATE OF FLORIDA ELECTIONS
The State of Florida ABATE motorcycle organization is preparing to have elections for state officers.
For many years Doc Reichenbach has been the president of the organization.
He is a very controversial person and has ruled with an iron hand and there have been numerous accusations of his treatment of those who have spoken out against him.
He gets his expenses paid for that position and it is not clear exactly what those expenses are. I and other members have asked to be given a copy of these and to date that has never happened. He is also the lobbyist for the organization and gets paid $50,000.00 dollars for that. He answers to the president of ABATE that being himself.
During his time as president there have been many laws that have passed that affect motorcyclist. Many of them not good and or costing the motorcyclist and tax payers money.
The fee for a motorcycle license has increases, motorcycle schools have become mandatory and on and on.
He has stated and was shown in a photograph accepting a check from the State of Florida for (1) one million dollars after he and the organization pushed for the passage of doubling the fine for running a red light. That law made a bunch of money for the state and ABATE as well.
ABATE has been questioned by numerous sources what was done with that money and to the best of my knowledge the question has never been answered to the satisfaction of the riders of Florida.
He and the organization will try to make a big deal out of passing legislation that allows some riders in Florida to ride without a motorcycle helmet if they have enough medical insurance. It should be noted that this was a compromise and not a good one.
Some years before the current helmet law the Florida Legislature passed a full un-conditional helmet law repeal only to have it vetoed by then Governor Bob Graham. Prior to the bill being passed in the legislature Governor Graham stated publically he would not sign the law into affect should it make it to his desk but Would Not Veto It Either. He Lied.
In my opinion ABATE should have had protests like other parts of the country used to get repeals.
It appears they took a different approach and wanted to be buddies with the legislature and make deals that affected all those who ride motorcycles in the State of Florida. They have a right to do that. It appears to not be working to well.
There are many people in ABATE of Florida that do not agree with Doc and the way he runs things. They are entitled to that opinion as well. Some people have resigned and others say they were forced out of the organization because they want to make changes.
Over the years the membership has declined and even though new riders do join and replace some of the leaving the numbers still go down.
That indicates there is a problem in the leadership of the organization.
Finally after many years there is some one running against Doc for the position of President.

BIg Bend Bikers for Freedom new fake contest-best destroyed red light camera
Yepper step right up boys and girls and Bikers, freedom lovers, constitutionalists, safety advocates and do not miss out on this chance to win a fake contest and possibly save the lives of you and a loved one.
Obviously this contest has to be fake because we can't legally advocate or encourage or reward anyone for going out and destroying public property. I do not believe so anyway and can't afford to find out (though if some of you were to hit the donate button now and again we might could and would even enter the contest).
But note how the brits (you now those people we gained our independence from and other Europeans) have managed to so artfully fake burning traffic cameras.
Kinda like graffiti theater dont'cha think.
So we was thinking we Americans ought to be as good if not better than the brits at faking destroyed red light cameras any day.
After all we won our fake liberty from them. Didn't we?
So here is what we are going to do. Send us your best creation of a fake destroyed red light camera,
at what location, and we will post it. The only prize is liberty.
We guarantee that we will like really destroy any e-mails and/or names associated w/ said pic. We can do that cause we got one of them high dollar wipe your hard drive military style gigs.
Please however, Please, please, please understand that even though the declaration of Independence does say that you can take the law into your own hands, that in fact, under certain circumstances you are obligated to, understand that this is a fake contest. But we will post the pics, for real.Add to Technorati Favorites

Open Letter to Florida Govenor Crist-the new independent-show me the money!
Dear Governor Christ,
We understand you will be running for Senator as an Independent. Way cool as we are a registered independent and do not often have the chance to vote for somebody who is truly independent.
But before you actually get our vote we were curious as to what you may have independently done while Governor. Actually we were kind of wondering what, as governor, you have done, other than getting an amazingly good tan, period.
I'm sure you must have done something or you would not be able to find high dollar people to help finance your campaigns. Or at least you have attempted to do something as considering the lack of impulse control the Florida legislature has over putting anything with a dollar sign in their pockets
you do have a kinda half ass excuse for any unaccomplished business.
In Fact in this post we considered using the $ sign in the above, but were afraid some Florida legislator would want to put our computer in their pocket.
But we did/do wonder could you not have been a bit more proactive. Let me rephrase that, could have been proactive period, in acknowledging the legislature as being totally corrupt.
But we do see an opportunity for you to redeem yourself and prove you are not only truly independent from the lure of industry money, but even support the states Attorney General when it comes to matters of law.

Both the state attorney general (view ruling) and Florida Department of Transportation (view ruling) have made the same determination. Red light cameras are against the lawSo which is it Mr. Independent, will you veto the legislatures overturning the law or allow the citizens of Florida to pay for years of litigation until the courts reasonably rule the law is unconstitutional.

Reading a story this am about the "the myth of the sophisticated Investor"
I ran across the term, "informational asymmetry," which as the article states is how investors on Wall Street refer to as "not telling the whole story." Also according to article it is called, "kinda illegal".
I must say this is one of the finest exercises in Orwellian Speech ever put together. Obviously code developed to insure the rest of us have no idea what they are talking about. So we thought we would clarify. Our bet however is that you already got the picture.
Simply, with the rest of the article, it translate as the banks took our money, engaged in some oragami,
found some other people who also have/had some our money to burn, lied to them and sold them their pretty origami made with our money. All this while we paid "gov'ment" people tasked with insuring everybody played all legal and everything were watching "porn".
Does that sound close to fairly close to wrapping in all up nice and pretty?
The are two problems here however. The common theme running thorough this explanation is that the "sophisticated investors" appear to ignore and that they are using, "our money!"
Now this term, "kinda illegal"? I'm not real sure how to interpret that as the concept does not exist in the world I, and I suspect you, live in. In fact if I remember correctly the constitution says something about laws being vague. However that is still somewhat of a foreign concept in my world being unable to afford to pay attorneys, judges and politicians to see vague as I see vague.
So for a couple hours anyway it was kind of interesting watching all these young guns in expensive suits that would keep me in jeans for a year and the head of Goldman looking all perplexed going "uh, I don't know" while the politicians puffed and postured for the camera's while behind closed doors they argued about how they might accomplish doing nothing.
But alas, in the end, I had no choice. I was compelled. I was driven. Something snapped. One can only ingest so much crap. I took my ol ladies 9mm and shot the T.V.Add to Technorati Favorites
