It has been said that it is difficult to see the forest for the trees. Then of course that also means that the opposite must be true, that at times, it is difficult to see the trees for the forest.
Since our return from California, our postings have still been lean to almost non-existent.
In our post entitled “A Bittersweet Reflection on our cross country motorcycle Trip” we questioned the “why of it”, posting that is.
It isn't that there isn't the usual to post about. It is just that,
A. The forwards in our inbox reveal that little has changed, except maybe it is now 6 year old forwards are now being rerun, further evidenced by the talking heads that pass for newscasters/journalists, and
B. It is fairly evident that little is going to change if left up to the American citizenry!
Do not mistake the lack of posting as an adoption of an apathetic attitude. Two things have been occupying our time,
Making enough money to pay for our trip, and
Voraciously reading numerous long, tedious, boring articles of a nature that most won't read. Unless of course it pops up in an e-mail as a forward.
In most of our previous articles/posts we have extensively linked to the sources by which we obtained our information and/or our conclusions for whatever it may be worth. There may be few who read most of the posts and fewer still that follow the links. Most especially if it is a post that violates the emotional bias one has towards reality.
After all Advertising learned long ago how to make a living lying to people. Because so many want to believe what ever lie that is being pitched to them. Of course none of that applies to anyone who might be reading this correct?
But from a site focused on Motorcycle rights and safety we have slowly morphed into a site that challenges thinking on larger issues. The reason: we concluded was that motorcyclists, as a whole, seemed to be perfectly ok with allowing people to run over and kill them.
This struck us as odd until we turned our obviously drug and alcohol damaged mind to the larger picture and found that Americans in general are inclined to point fingers at the helpless while bowing in subservience to a government that, designed to represent even the most helpless of society, now blatantly steals from those whom it was designed to represent.
Remember though, in America, the people are the government. Therefor it must be that the the people referred to as “Americans” are guilty for the current state of affairs.
A case in point to illustrate the title of this post:

Now personally we are quite impressed. In fact , due to our interest in firearms and good-looking ladys, we might go so far as to say we were a bit turned on. But any fantasy that may or may not have developed as a result of watching this, it is not enough to keep us from wondering:
What in Gods name does this have to do with Christianity? Is this what Jesus taught?
“Go into the wilderness my child and prepare thyself as a servant of the people by becoming a killing machine!”
Is this not just a tad reminiscent of some of the radical islamic terrorists training films (made by similar people in that they have lost sight of the teaching of the Qur'an)?
Though we do consider ourselves Christian, we suspect one may be unable to identify our brand of Christianity and we in no way profess to be an expert in these matters, we must wonder:
When was Christian evangelizing redefined as forcing one to accept a certain set of beliefs?
Which one of the discipels or Jesus sought public office so that they may be paid to enact “law” forcing others to abide by their interpretation of a book (Bible) that had not yet been written?
What Christian edict dictates that one must stand at the border and deny the keys of Heaven (America) to the hungry, weak and powerless. Who, even were they allowed to cross would become slaves of white corporate plantation owners and pawns to be used as a thinly disguised racist issue for political and of course, monetary gain?
How many of our elected officials who profess to be Christians have voted to shackle us in chains upon the receipt of a few shekels from some industry lobbyist?
And then how many many of our elected “Christians” have been caught in decidedly “unchristian behaviors”, e.g. Lying, cheating, stealing,.........................
It is said to let “he who is without sin, throw the first stone” and we would be the first to admit that, this we anyway, is not without sin. In fact we have been the target of quite of few stones. Some thrown by ourself at ourself. After all, who among us is not a hypocrite. Is that not why Jesus had to die? For sins past and present?
But it is not an argument re: Christianity we want to get into here. We will leave that to the Church, maybe someday they will figure it out.
Our concern is how we have become a house so divided by labels and false ideologies perpetrated by self proclaimed prophets, followed not by those versed in fact, but by those resistant to having their realities altered by truth.
America has truly become a Tower of Babel governed by a Kleptocracy and one has to wonder, does anyone care anymore?
The fact is we have dumbed our nation down to the extent that patriotism has become redefined as hate with a day set aside to celebrate our self righteousness with hotdogs and beer, beach and beer, ball games and beer, fireworks with beer and then beer with more beer. This all while television segments such as jaywalking illustrate how even those charged with educating the future voters of this country have little grasp of the meaning or origins of the day.
So today, after attending a fireworks display last night, where we watched a young barefoot and shirtless gentleman (white we might add), apparently one of the adults in charge of supervising the kids who were entertaining themselves by firing off bottle rockets from the back of a pick up truck (we watched in amusement as he showed them how to do it) in any direction, relieve himself from over imbibing by “taking a leak”. Mind you now he was to drunk to stumble across the street to avail himself of the available bushes. So instead he half fell out of the back of his truck into the mud, sloshed his way to the front, opened the door and commenced to pissing on his feet.
A friend sitting next to me (in his pick up truck) remarked something to the effect, “and they are raising those kids.”
To which I responded with something to the effect, “Hell I don't don't think theres ten years difference between all of them,” Alluding to the extent of the families gene pool.
Do not get us wrong, it is not that we have not engaged in our own number of acts of stupidity. In fact it is obviously something we are quite good at as we often find ourselves still being stupid. It is just that being on the outside looking in can sometimes give one a different perspective on things.
So again, we say, today we jump back into the fray by pissing a few off with some observations, facts and even a prediction or two.
PREDICTION with a warning: And this is number one because we have an uneasy feeling that tomorrow could be the beginning of more of the second shoe falling.
The stock market is going lower. Not just a little lower. Big time lower. If you are like many others who have money in retirement accounts that are being watched and/or managed by anyone else but yourself, then we say to you, CHANGE THAT ARRANGEMENT NOW!
We know governments are corrupt. We know the Banks are corrupt and we know oil companies are corrupt. IF YOU believe for one moment that the person who is supposed to be managing your money (“supposed” is the operative word here), then you will pay the price. Your money manager (we suspect most have no idea of who actually runs their retirement accounts), if not corrupt probably works for a brokerage house that is.
If you are not checking your investments everyday, if you are not reading about what it is you are invested in and what could go wrong with it you are going to lose. Because here is a,
FACT: We are not going into a double dip recession! Despite some officials announcement that we had come out of “the recession”, we did not. We had a simple illusionary reprieve manufactured with a bit of quantitative easing to postpone for just a little bit the bitter medicine yet to come. If we avoid a Depression it will not be through the actions of politicians but by the grace of God!
FACT and/or PREDICTION: We will see more quantitative easing because we are coming close to elections. Bernanke's Helicopter will again seed the America's with money (which after the elections the banks will steal, again). These policies will be supported by every politician up for re-election regardless of party!
FACT: There is nothing wrong with BIG GOVERNMENT! There is nothing wrong with SMALL GOVERNMENT. Inefficient, corrupt governments, no matter there size SUCK!
FACT: Our Government SUCKS. Not because it is big. Because it is mired in red tape, corruption and lies. Because it no longer based on the documents from which it was born.
FACT: Global Warming is real. Since China has taken over in the fields of science and math while the US educational system has focused on political correctness and image building is not surprising that the likes of Limbaugh, Hannity and Beck have risen to the level of DemiGods. After all learning is difficult. It takes more effort than a two minute sound byte or forwarded e-mail. It involves EFFORT, WORK, being able to look at things with an open mind as opposed to a mind that justifies insuring that we will go the way of the very fossil fuels we depend on. CONGRATULATIONS if you have read this far, you are one of the ones that think. Now google on global warming. Then sit in front of your refrigerator with the door open. It's cool isn't it? BUt your refrigerator is getting hotter.
PREDICTION: You will begin to hear many more voices in Washington speaking out against China. They will do so because China is more worried about themselves than us. They will do so because China with the help of American corporations has played the financial game better than we have. With the help of American Corporations they can now buy and sell us.
Of course China has not played by the rules. China is China! China is a totalitarian regime that cares little about human rights, freedom and/or democracy. As such we should have never allowed ourselves to get in bed with them. Not only did we get in bed with them, we did it without a condom, and knew better! We compromised our own principles under the heading of “FREE MARKETS”, READ THAT CORPORATE PROFITS! We allowed ourselves to believe that Americans are entitled to liberty but it was o.k. To use chinese slaves to American Corporations to manufacture cheap goods for the self righteous Americana. HELLO!!!!!!!!!! EVER HEAR OF KARMA!!!!
OF course the American politicians will increase their rhetoric about the evils of China. Especially as the economy worsens. After all, it takes the focus off their own corrupt ineptitudes.
And if you do not think the politicians would be willing to go to war with China over some manufactured reason, then just think VIETNAM, IRAQ, AFGHANISTAN or even CUBA! Our saving grace may be they will only posture. As at this juncture China could probably kick our ass and probably only puts up with us now because they have to many of our dollars and need Walmlart!
FACT: Open borders and immigration are growth producing.
MYTH: Secure Borders!
PREDICTION: Continued prejudice, ignorance and bigotry will insure we remain mired in the status quo!
THINK INTELLIGENTLY PEOPLE! Mules and Coyotes traffic massive amounts of drugs and people across the border daily
and we have yet been able to stop it. That is because there is a market for those items. Goods follow the money. You free market economists should be able to figure that one out.
So you think that for the right kind of money the drug and people taffikers couldn't get a vial of some bio chemical weapon or briefcase of nuclear material across the border?
Oh well hell then, just build a mile high freaking fence from sea to shining sea on both the northern and southern borders. Ever hear of drones? Submarines? The inability of AMERICAN PORT INSPECTORS to INSPECT every cargo container that comes in country?
Instead of attempting to punish every existing pot smoker or lettuce picker we would propose the following:
Call up the President of Mexico and tell him to get the following message to his handlers,
“One bio-weapon or nuclear device that comes across your side of the border, we Nuke your house, no questions!”
Then to be fair send the same message to Canada.
FACT: Right wing extremist have taken over the tea party and they scare the hell out of us. Yes we go to the rallies and if offered the opportunity will speak at them. We think there are good people with good intentions who got caught up in that movement. We will take every opportunity we can get to get to know them and impress upon them another FACT,
SARAH PALIN IS STUPID! BUT HERE HANDLERS ARE BRILLIANT!
MYTH: LIBERALS HAVE ALL THE ANSWERS. We are inherently suspicious of many who claim to be liberals. We suspect there are few hidden in towers of Ivory or blessed with inherited money who have experienced the streets enough to understand that change equates to something more than intellectual masturbation. Ideology means nothing to people in fear and fear means nothing to someone who has not faced the knowledge the the next breath may be the last.

Skid row is not a place but a state of mind. Everyone has one in their own heads. Most are unable to go there because of fear. Yet is the second before death when being alive is most appreciated for most.
There are those wise enough to know when it is time to move on and accept it gracefully. They are rare.
MYTH: AMERICA IS A CHRISTIAN COUNTRY! This one would be funny were it not so tragic. Yes, there are Christians that live in America. You may even find some in Church. There may even be one or two in the halls of Congress. We would even wager that you could find one in a corporate boardroom. But for the most part we suspect that Christianity is as it was at the beginning, a fractured movement of many different ideologies, all vying to be THE WAY (our apologies to TAO).
Some of them are even hiding out in American cities offering food, shelter and sanctuary to those that other Christians would persecute. You may not know them though. There are not many of them running for office or selling “Clunkers for Cash”. They are engaging in this kind of live and let live thing while offering the shirts of their backs and putting their own safety at risk. Unique concept huh? Wonder were those poor misguided souls learned how to practice such a unique concept
MYTH: Americans are Patriotic!
Of course, most of those who served or have served in in the military must have a sense of patriotism. We would find it hard to believe that they would go out and put heir lives on the line for no good reason. Even though a good percentage of them have come to question the motives of the country whom they have served so proudly.
But what about the rest of us who wave flags and line up to honor them, unless of course it is raining, or to hot, or there is something “more fun” calling? This leads us to another FACT:
Americans are hypocrites! Way true. Believe as you are told and pay no attention to how we act. This goes not only for foreign countries, but our own backyards.
FACT: AMERICA IS NEED OF A REVOLUTION!
HOWEVER, the question that must be first asked is, What would we replace what we currently have with? Did we mention that the TEA PARTY scares us? How about the Sovereign Citizens movement?
We are no lover of the American Government how it currently exists as a puppet of Worldwide Corporations pandering to collective thought as opposed to upholding the principles of individual liberty. However we are quite fearful of any plan presented to date that would revise or replace it. We imagine a blood bath seeking conformity over diversity.
Conformity is not one of our strong suits.
THE REVOLUTION needed FIRST is one of minds and souls. The word soul not to be confused with any particular religious affiliation. We can not depend of the corrupt who govern and profit to endorse such an agenda. However such a revolution could in fact be more powerful than that, that comes from an armed uprising. We suspect that this sort of revolution is the one those in control are most afraid of. A revolution of knowledge!
We are not denigrating proficiency with any weapon. We are only proposing that in our divisiveness we have not become proficient enough with our minds. Keeping in mind that to do so without a revolution of the soul would likely result in streets full of evil geniuses.
So the first front of any revolution must be an attack on ignorance with truth. To accomplish this each INDIVIDUAL must first evaluate why it is they believe whatever it is they believe. How do we know what we know and why are we afraid to consider that more often than not whatever we know is wrong. We must open our minds to having the boundaries of our every belief challenged. We must pay as much attention to every argument presented as any argument we might respond with.
Call it the therapy of a nation if you will, for we are indeed in need of help.
Now this “we” is posting this with the full knowledge that it will pass into the same obscurity of the many posts linking to evidence of the truths of it's content. But if you have travelled this far we invite you, as we do in many posts, to find the lack of validity in this post. Hell “snopes” it if you will.
