Tallahassee soldier killed in the line of Duty, July 8th

DOD Identifies Army Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Pfc. Anthony W. Simmons, 25, of Tallahassee, Fla., died July 8 in Kunar province, Afghanistan, when insurgents attacked his unit with indirect fire.  He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky.

Spec 4 Richard Lee Ruis, US ARMY, age 61, PGR mission accomplished

at least 10 PGR riders with two support vehicles and almost as many riders among family friends rode to provide respects to Spec 4 Richard Lee Rui who passed away at the early age of 61.
