We so wanted to write this post, but the New York times beat us to it, Hat tip to Bruce Arnold and thanks to the New York Times for validating what we posted after this areas first Tea Party, April 16th, 2009 here: Tallahassee Tea Party-Observations and a warning,

A few words to preface the New York Times.  We are not a rocket scientist.  We are not psychic, nor do we have any ability to divine the truth of something by virtue of, "hey sounds good to me."

We got suspicious after our attending our first area tea party due to our regard for CNBC commentator Rick Santelli.  All we did was notice something odd, came home and hit the computer. Bingo the truth
was staring us in the face.  Although we would support a true and honest "Tea Party movement" the one currently have is bogus.  For proof, all one had to do was look!

Tallahassee Veterans need YOUR help.

Some may remember when we posted how last years Tallahassee/Leon County area Veterans day parade was canceled do to rain. Not to mention our many mentions of how even prior to the the cancellation the Veterans day parade in Tallahassee has always been relegated to the back streets of the capital while other more important parades, like Spring Fling for instance, go down the Main drag.

Talkin bout my generation- our apologies to the "Who"?

Our apologies to the younger generation that must bear witness to those of our generation who foolishly allowed themselves to be drink from the well funded propaganda mills kool-aid, deluding themselves into believing that somehow economic bondage+xenophobia=liberty.  How ironic that they would refer to themselves as the "Tea Party."

It's that Alice in Wonderland-esque quality of current events that lead me to vague memories of the Bizzaro  world frequently visited in Superman comics.
