Not a bad place to spend Halloween. Even if the costume de jour was Biker attire. Click here for a few more pics.

What FDR giveth Reagan taketh away-the greatest transference of wealth in history
The nation has become extremely polarized over the past few years with primarily two factions blaming each other. The conservatives vs. the liberals or the liberals blaming the conservatives and back and forth it goes with not the slightest indication of "give a little" being exhibited.
We suspect that the division has reached the point of self perpetuation with neither side looking at how their actions have been dictated by the past and how they will impact on the future.
Obviously their is little we can do about the past. We could hope that we might learn from it, but the evidence is that we have not and probably will not. But the reality is, as we have often stated, that so many of our core belief systems are based on myth.
As I get older, which I really didn't plan for because I didn't think it would happen, I find I am constantly faced with confronting that which I believe to be true and that which is actually true. It is somewhat ironic that this whole blog is the result of my being "wrong" about something.
I've got no problem with that. My problem would be if I did not have the ability to examine where and why it was I was wrong because as the saying goes, if you keep doing what you have always done.......
We have been saying for awhile now that the issue is not Liberalism vs Conservatism but the haves versus the have not's. We think the following article illustrates somewhat our contention. It took me about an hour to read it. Probably still don't understand and will have to read it again. Some things I have to read over and over again. I'm a little dumb that way.

Fed has to trash the dollar, politicians have to lie, we are broke-gravity can't be denied
Initially we were going to only post excerpts from this article by Michael T. Snyder. Our intention was to use them to back up some of our previous contentions that our current economic situation is at least 30 years in the making. That despite whatever social issues one may wish to blame our current situation on, very simply, the cause has been the relationship between banks and politicians.
The article is so good however we will post it in it's entirety and follow up in another post the history of the dollar and banks since Ronald Reagan. If the article makes you a bit uneasy, it scared the hell out of us.
