A friend of mine is a sincere Christian Conservative. Well conservative might be an understatement. However beyond any conservative political beliefs he may hold, he is first and foremost Christian.
We engage in many long e-mail discussion challenging each other on various issues. Sometimes he is right. Sometimes I am right. Sometimes we are both right and sometimes we are both wrong. That is called dialogue. A give and take of ideas that leads nowhere without the ability to listen and consider.
Now I can't say that there haven't been times where he has almost driven me over the edge. In fact I have accused him of doing it on purpose as he can push my buttons oh so well and I do believe he enjoys it.

U.S. free market capitalism-a mix of socialism, taxpayer subsidies and the rise of the Kleptocracy-Part II
In the previous post, U.S. free market capitalism-a mix of socialism, taxpayer subsidies and bribes to Brazilwe described how maybe U.S. economic policies on the world stage do not present the shining example of free markets and/or capitalism and may even border on at least a tad bit socialism with a dash of Marxism. If nothing else it is the perfect illustration of the pot calling the kettle black when it comes to our calling China a currency manipulator. When in fact we are proving ourselves to be a "product" manipulator.U.S. free market capitalism-a mix of socialism, taxpayer subsidies and bribes to Brazil
A free market is a market in which there is no economic intervention and regulation by the state, except to enforce private contracts and the ownership of property. It is the opposite of a controlled market, in which the state directly regulates how goods, services and labor may be used, priced, or distributed, rather than relying on the mechanism of private ownership.Unless of course one wants to make cotton t-shirts. Apparently free markets and capitalism take on a whole different meaning when U.S. citizens want to produce cotton t-shirts.
You see the U.S. is at war with Brazil. Yes we know most are not aware of it, but trust us, not only are we at war with Brazil but we, the taxpayer, are getting billed twice to pay for it. You see the U.S. government, or should we say you and I, pay cotton farmers. A lot!
