One Percenter news December 2010

EDITORS NOTE: The following articles are just a random sampling of Club news we have run across.  We make no claim as to the factual content of these posts.  Much of the language is obviously stereotypical as evidenced by the press insistence on referring to "clubs" as "gangs".

This site is neutral and time to time posts these articles as a service to the number of readers who wish to stay up to date on these events.

As with any of our postings comments and/or opposing reports are welcome.  However we also can not attest to the validity of any comments.  We will give consideration to removing inflammatory comments that are posted anonymously.  If you can't own it, it means little.

THIS MONTHS OBSERVATION/COMMENT:  We ask readers to keep in mind that often times in these instances media gets it wrong and law enforcement has no problem adding to the hype. We know of at least one "History Channel" episode that reruns the same "Wrong" info over and over.

Having said that, it seems more often than not info is being reported as being  obtained by members providing info on other members. Not a good thing!

American Motorcyclists Association selects Motorcyclist of the year

OK, if you read thee two previous posts you know we are a little behind.  We didn't catch the announcement that California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has been named by the American Motorcyclists Association as "Motorcyclists of the year".

IT is not as one might suspect however. It is not to honor Schwarzenegger, but to call attention to how poorly informed politicians make poor decisions to curry favor with one segment of the population at the expense of another. As evidenced in this excerpt from the AMA:

Z is kicking Cancers ass, it does take a village.

We haven't posted for a few days for a number of reasons.  Even the slightest reflection on the past and how it is impacting our Economy and our rights coupled with the implications of the Wikileaks saga is enough to get in line for admission for depression.  At the very least lay on the couch with a six pack of nine volt batteries to glue to my tongue watching the T.V. channel.

But at least one reason, was the opportunity to once again, have my perspectives put in order.

We first posted on "z's" battle with cancer, "Mantle Cell Lymphoma" to be exact, here:
PGR rider "Z", who is she and why you should knowThe good news, it appears that after months of chemo there are no more identifiable cancer cells.  The bad news, now the treatment really gets ugly.

Apparently the big "C" is cagey and to insure it won't come back they have to kill about every cell in your body. Good and bad.  So next up is a Bone Marrow transplant.

Needless to say, Despite Obamacare, or any other kind of care this stuff is time consuming and expensive.  "EVEN IF" you were a two income family with insurance. Good Lord at the things you learn insurance won't pay for.

So anyway... various members of "the band" and others have been lining up to help as far as transport and care goes.

It was my honor to do a two day gig with her at The Moffit Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida.

You really don't know anybody until you see how they handle adversity.  So imagine the respect you might have for a person who will ride for hours in the cold or heat and rain to stand a flag line for a few hours for somebody they don't even know.  Then imagine them doing it sick as a dog from being carted, shuffled, punctured, postponed, rescheduled until made to feel like a guinea pig in a three ring circus?  Hello? That takes more balls than a heap of folk I know, myself included.

So if helping a brother or sister out during those times takes priority over  other stuff, then so be it. That's just they way it is.

OR at lest the way it is supposed to be.

"Z" still has a battle ahead.  And if you know these folks then you know they are not the type that or gonna cry on somebody's shoulder going please fix it for me. IF it gets tough, they will be to busy fighting too hard to complain.

So were gonna piss em off and make a plea, any one that may wish to donate a dollar or two can make checks out to:
