Unemployment is down, so are wages-Involuntary servitude expected to rise.

It is super interesting, to me anyway (but then again I get off on nine volt batteries to the tongue), to listen to the talking heads when new government statistics are released.

If you watch a stock ticker tape when some statistics are released you can watch as the knee jerk reaction will be a plunge.  But then allow an hour or so for everyone to figure out just exactly what the figures are saying and you can see everything reverse.



In other words, even the people paid to translate the information for us often times can not figure out what it is they are trying to translate. 

A quick for example, this morning the government announced unemployment had dropped.  Hoorayyyyyyy......... Good news.

Well wait a second.  Lets see what else dropped?

Hmmmmm, oh o.k., well this is a given, wages dropped too.

And oh yeah, the labor pool shrank.  No no no, not because so many people found jobs that there are less people to fill them.  No the labor pool shrank because a  heap of people who use to be counted disappeared.  Well they didn't really disappear, they just don't count anymore.  I mean get counted anymore.  Nah, meant what I said in the first place.

And even on GE (you know, the company that pays no taxes. The company that gets a tax refund?)
controlled CNBC the talking heads will cop to, well the real unemployment rate is 20%plus and not the 8+% the government figures.

But that's o.k. see. Because before you can get people to work longer, harder, hours for less money with fewer if any benefits, you have to first take away everything they have and then starve them into submission.

Yepper, thats how we do it in America.  We don't need no military coup.  All we need to do is invent a bunch of wars that will take care of some of the disenfranchised unemployed, convince those that are left that that tax cuts for the rich and regressive tax hikes, via increased gas and food prices, for the poor is the American way.  Just ask the Tea Party Kidnappers who now hold the republicans hostage how it is good for America.

All we have to do is tell them poor fools that we are "bailing them out" and they will bow their little heads, with hat in hand a say meekly,
