Yo we told you about the prison industry.

Recently we saw news items regarding how Florida has the second largest prison population next to Texas.  Of course, the insane amounts of money the Prison lobby dumped into Florida has nothing to do with rising incarcerations and rehabilitation cuts have nothing to with increasing their profits.  And of course  the fact that it is over and over again proven to be failed policy then, not only Florida, but other states will follow along for the money, I mean ride.  Because in the long run it cost more money to render people non-  productive!

We have been wanting to write a post about the insanity of it all when the little light bulb went off.  Wait a second, we have:

OF course these posts were made as far back as 2008 and so should mean nothing.  Just like our postThe Government can't run a whorehouse so you give them your banksWas written in 2008.

Nothing has changed.  Oh wait, yes they have.  The things we have tried to warn people about are in fact coming true.  The problem?  It is going to be worse than even we imagined!

So we have to ask, why is it we could see it coming and others and others could not? Hmmm!

It is not rocket science.  A lot of people live from sound byte to sound byte and never take the time to check out, hey, is what I am being told true?  And then there are the folk that flick the radio station to Rush Limbaugh and never move it.  Allowing Rushbo to think for them.  And thennnnnnnnnn, we just got the folk that just don't give a fuck because well hell that stuff doesn't impact me does it?

Well let us illustrate a very significant point.

CCA (Corrections Corporation of America) is a "For Profit" corporation. They make money off  prisoners.  They have no financial incentive to rehabilitate or reduce the number of prisoners "YOU" pay them to take care of.

IN FACT: Though you may never ever commit a crime, CCA, and companies like them depend on you to send them more prisoners so "YOU" can pay more taxes so CCA can make MORE MONEY!

Come on dudes and dudette's we ain't no mathematical genius and as we said it ain't rocket science to begin with.
