Occupy Movement-OPen Letter to Cops

As I was speeding through the number of sites I try to check daily I caught a comment on a non political financial site regarding Marine Scott Olsens critical injuries at the hands of police at OCCUPY Oakland. The Olsen story is cropping up in many places you would least expect it. This one in a discussion of Greek debt.  The commenter wrote the following (emphasis on the last two sentences is ours):

 If you've read any of my comments about OWS, you'll know that I do not support this movement for various reasons.. but this video CLEARLY shows protestors trying to HELP the Marine and a some fucking douche bag cop tosses a tactical RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE of them.. gas, flash bang.. whatever, it explodes and goes bang and in close proximity is still dangerous.

It's inexcusable and unacceptable. The police are supposed to be the example and not the exception. Fuck them.. they can now ALL go fuck themselves. Not ONE cop on the line stepped up to pull this bad apple out. That just tells me that they're all bad.. ALL OF THEM.

And therein for us lies a very serious problem.  We know a number of LEO that are really good people. I have tattooed a few and they got the same problems we all do.

In some MC's the code is, if your bro starts a problem on the street.  Right or wrong you back his ass.  Then, if he was wrong, you take care of that when you get back to the clubhouse.  So we get that o.k.  But we are talking about a 1%'er MC here.  Their oath is to protect and serve their club, not the public.  And therein lies a major difference.


Police are not and can not be like and MC. The oath of a Police officer is "supposed" to be, to serve and protect "THE PUBLIC"!  Yeah we get it that the every group has some jerks. We get it that there are some you give them a badge and others to hide behind and all of a sudden they want to whip up on those who are actually advocating for them???  These are not COPS!  Just like in the motorcycle world you got wanna be "Bikers" that wear the gear, among the cops you got wanna be cops that wear the gear.  There is a lesson the cops could learn from a Motorcycle club.

You bring trouble to or cause discredit or loss of credit to your patch, you can bet your sweet ass there won't be no damn cover up.  There will be at the very least a group beat down, if your lucky!

So what I want to know is, do the cops have as much honor as a 1% MC?  Because when a freakin jerk throws a flash grenade into a middle of unarmed people trying to help someone that was hurt by some other jerk, or watch as your fellow cop jams his knee into a little girls throat and you turn your head?  You just violated your oath and disrespected your badge/patch!

So what do we got to do?  Do we need to enlist 1% MC's to protect little girls and veterans from the wanna be's?  Do we got to go and ask soldiers who did their duty, who showed honor and restraint under fire  and brought honor and respect to their patch/Uniform to protect us from the YOU who got freaking backwards somehow.Add to Technorati Favorites
