New Yorks Motorcycle checkpoint case has far reaching implications

Considering the recent revelations regarding the corporate purchase of the supreme court (see:Supreme court, going once, twice SOLD......)  we have a tad bit of anxiety in regards to this case.
Precedence as it relates to traffic stops and the discrimination of "motorcycle only" checkpoints would leave most reasonable people to believe that the case is a slam dunk as being unconstitutional.

Note the words "reasonable people." We thought that reasonable people would have allowed the Patriot act to die and not extend it as congress recently did.  We thought reasonable Americans would never allow the country to head in the direction of the very regimes currently being overthrown or fought in the Mideast.  We "thought" a lot of things and found ourselves to be wrong in matters involving reasonable people on way to many occasions.

This is not a"motorcycle only" case.  This is an "of concern to all Americans case"!!!  This case fails and they will be coming in your home next, based on what they have learned from your internet profile.  Are we an alarmist?  Only if you considering a burning desire to keep my individual rights alarming!

Motorcycle stops from one Cops perspective

In October of last year we posted the following:Police Tactics for BIker Runs-Did you know MC's are dangerous, come on toto.  Which contained a  link to the Website LawOfficer Police and Law Enforcement.  The posting was by a law enforcement officer giving tips on what to do when stopping a group of motorcyclists.  In light of the possibility of the Daytona Bike week Georgia Motorcycle only safety checks we thought it might be a good idea to re-post. If you are not an officer it is a unique glimpse into the mind of one.  Hopefully his mind is not representative of others. To be forewarned is to be forearmed (emphasis ours):

Biker Run Tactics- Must-know tips for making high-risk stops

Warm weather brings out motorcycles. Motorcycles bring bikers. Bikers bring biker runs. And biker runs bring problems—especially for street cops.

For purposes of this article, I’m going to limit the tactics discussed to making high-risk stops, either investigatory or traffic-related, of known or suspected biker groups connected to or affiliated with outlaw motorcycle clubs or gangs (e.g., the Hell’s Angels, Mongols, Warlocks, Deadmen, the Sons of Silence or some other lesser-known—but just as dangerous—groups) with known hostilities toward law enforcement. Furthermore, nothing contained in this piece should be construed as suggesting that the mere display of biker colors justifies the stopping of any motorcycle operator or condoning the harassment of any particular biker club or group. Remember: Every investigatory stop, regardless of the operator, must be precipitated on probable cause.
O.K. I can't stop myself. Gonna have to comment on this garbage.  He states that,

But further down tells ya how you can get "gravy with your meat"??????? So right off the bat he lied. Besides he has to say that, it's kinda  like a disclaimer ya know.

Fixing the economy. It can be done!

If you read the post previous to this, Double Dip, CYA as we all run out of money-are we stupid or what?, then you know what you probably already knew. Things are not getting better and maybe getting worse! But can the country/economy be fixed?

Now we do spend much time on this site addressing the lies and propaganda of the new American Kleptocracy, but can it be fixed?  Is there hope?  THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE!

Now we are not going to spend a lot of time here delving into the intricacies as to how to make the government participate.  Since "we", you and I, are the government we figure with a little testicular fortitude "we can make it happen."  After all, if the governments/"our" coffers are bit low now, what would a week long "National Strike" do for them.  Of course there are other options but we threw that one out as an example.

We have two major problems in this country that were they addressed we believe would go a long way towards improving the economy. Well three problems  actually but we are not going to count the government since "we" are the government.

Jobs and Infrastructure. If you type in your search box, The deteriorating American infrastructure, you will find more than enough sites that validate what we already know, our infrastructure sucks!

But that may be a good thing.  Because our infrastructure is so bad that without immediate remediation people are going to start dying! We got bridges ready to collapse, dikes ready to rupture, damns ready to burst, leaking water, gas and sewage line and on and on...............

Now there are a bunch of folk in charge that say we can't afford to address these problems.  They are wrong.  We can not afford not to!  We can not afford to give tax breaks to persons and banks and  corporations that either do not produce or send jobs to countries that are totalitarian or allow slave and child labor.

So heres a rough sketch of whats in my brain and maybe someone smarter than us (yes my brain is an us) can help to figure it out.

First there are a variety of options by which  the current state of the infrastructure can be deemed a threat in need of immediate attention.  We suspect that it would take some creative permutation of processes in order implement such a program immediately.  That should not be a problem.   Our representatives with the help of their lobbyists are quite adept at permutating when it is in there best interest.  The other option could be, just let it all fall apart and kill people.  We ourselves do not prefer that option, but then people that would be killed by failing infrastructure don't have a  lobby.

We appoint a panel of "real" business experts.  Since the major banks lost most of their and our money they don't qualify.  We would suggest the following if they would be agreeable or people like them:

Famed investment guru, Warren Buffet, has demonstrated his ability to identify value and his common sense in not engaging in that which he does not understand.

Corporate raider Carl Ichan, who can take a money losing company, streamline it, increase it's efficiency and increase it's value.

Energy and environmental activist and take over artist Boone Pickens that had the foresight to buy up Texas water rights and probably understand energy better than anyone else in the country.

An original Tea Party founder and investor, Karl Denninger, who understood what the Tea Party was supposed to understand so he left it.

Phil Davis, is an investor who thinks about the little guys.

Or people of similiar ilk.  People who we hope have enough money of their own that they won't have to steal from us.

These guys understand "stuff" and building things and how to maximize profit.  People they employ must also produce or they are not employed.  So we will allow them to chose the top civil engineers of each state who "already" knows what the states primary infrastructure needs are.  Each states primary engineer will in turn develop engineering committees who  will prioritize projects based on threat to life and maximum job creation.

Yes this is going to cost us money. But here is the easy part.

Double Dip, CYA as we all run out of money-are we stupid or what?

Remember when the banks gambled with all our money and lost it?  And then the Fed had to take what little money we had left, plus put a humongous lien on our future?  No were not talking about today's
continuing scam that has a bought and payed for political party's preaching that we are not giving enough to the rich. Necessitating the need for those who are working to take large pay cuts and/or lose  jobs.  No were talking about 2008 when it all went to crap and the people that caused it all to go to crap went about convincing us it was "our" fault so we have to pay for it.

Now while states like Wisconsin, Florida, and hell we don't know, pick any of them, contemplate firing people in order to create jobs (we haven't forgot about the feds. We are just observing the newest version of the "trickle down" theory), It would appear a double dip recession may actually be in the cards.

Two charts that look way spooky to us:
