Motorcycle only Checkpoint strategies for the individual
First a disclaimer, the thoughts expressed here are our own. They are not be confused or interpreted to be the views of any other motorcycle organization. all motorcycle organizations and independent bikers speak for themselves.
Some of these tactics are tried and true. However all circumstances differ and each individual needs evaluate the situation based on their own personal circumstances.
FIRST: THESE MOTORCYCLE ONLY CHECKPOINTS ARE ILLEGAL, UNCONSTITUTIONAL AND HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH MOTORCYCLE SAFETY! THEY ARE ALL ABOUT MONEY AND POWER!
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)which allocates the grant monies for these checkpoints have referred to them as, "At this time we would like to invite your State agency to participate in supporting this Program, entitled “Motorcycle Law Enforcement Demonstrations”.
It may be semantics but that wording makes such a checkpoint illegal. Though it may be perfectly appropriate to question the legality of your stop, remember who has the guns and the ride to jail. We would only suggest that individuals take the time to ponder on how America ever reached this point and whether or not they wish to start taking a stand.
Have a small voice activated recorder in a pocket. Have it on during the stop. If riding with friends a video camera is a good thing. If they ask you to stop the video, with video running ask them if it is against the law to video tape a Georgia safety inspection for educational purposes. The more cameras the better.
Have water.

Each man must for himself alone decide what is right and what is wrong, which course is patriotic and which isn't. You cannot shirk this and be a man. To decide against your conviction is to be an unqualified and excusable traitor, both to yourself and to your country, let men label you as they may. Mark Twain

You're not supposed to be so blind with patriotism that you can't face reality. Wrong is wrong, no matter who says it. ~Malcolm X

We should never forget that everything Adolf Hitler did in Germany was "legal" and everything the Hungarian freedom fighters did in Hungary was "illegal." ~Martin Luther King, Jr., "Letter from Birmingham Jail," Why We Can't Wait, 1963

Georgia motorcycle checkpoints confirmed-tracking update 3
We have received confirmation from another source whom we trust that, as per ABATE of Georgia's mail out, the motorcycle only checkpoints will happen. We have been informed that the Governor’s Office on Highway Safety has met with one motorcycle organization during the week and that ABATE of Georgia is schedule to meet with them tomorrow (Sunday).
We still hope to be able to ascertain times, dates and locations of these checkpoints.
To bring folk up to date, but first, Kudo's to ABATE of Georgia for getting this info out as early as they did :

From Dan Forrest, State Director of A.B.A.T.E. Georgia.
“Motorcycle Checkpoints to begin in March. As many of you know, the State of Georgia received $70,000.00 from the NSTB for Motorcycle ONLY Safety Check Points. They will stop all Motorcycles at these Check Points.
We were informed by unnamed sources that the Check Points would start in early March to coincide with the Daytona Bike Week event. Most points of entry to Florida will be involved. We are anticipating them to start March 3rd in order to take advantage of the additional flow of Motorcycle traffic thru our State. I was told that the officers conducting the safety check points have been trained in what to check for so be sure you, your paper work and your bike are in order.
We understand that this is just a way to increase revenues, so do all you can to avoid adding to the state funds. There are many who trailer into Georgia and ride into Florida from here. You may wish to change your plans and trailer on through to Florida”
