America's foreign policy, like it's domestic policy? So why Libya?

During another interesting exercise of talking heads engaging in mental masturbation on CNN Friday night, David Gergen was asked on CNN about our intervention in Libya versus our hands off policy in regards to Tunisia and Egypt.  We found the response quite interesting, disturbing, sad and probably true.  Mr. Gergen responded with, and we are paraphrasing here, that the difference was between that which are the principles on which this country was founded and that which is in the Nations best interest?

We of have long intimated that America is suffering from schizophrenia.  And not just in foreign policy, but domestically too.  We use to think that the problem was just plain hypocrisy.  However we are now convinced that the incestuous relationship between politicians and corporations, the dumbing down of America (In a recent poll  73% of the respondents did not know what the cold war was about), or plain just don't give a damn has metastasized.

We suggest that all interested parties read the bill carefully and then let their views be known to their respective representatives.  We also highly recommend that interested individuals read the Bill analysis as indicates problems with the bill. There is in language in the bill that could keep it from passing.

In at least one source has informed us this bill will not pass the legislature in its present state.
