Freedom vs. Liberty

Ever since the Supreme Court ruling Citizens United vs. FEC, which should have been truthfully labeled as the "Rich buy the FEC ruling," we have had some difficulties with the word "Freedom."

Although Dictionary.com uses both words in the definition of each, under liberty it adds as the first use,
freedom from arbitrary or despotic government or control"WE THE PEOPLE" are granted liberty via the U.S. Constitution.  It would appear that only the "purchased" U.S. Supreme Court considers itself a Supreme enough power to grant "Freedom" to Corporations!  Which means we are liking the word "liberty" a whole lot more.

The post below,Deregulation has you paying the banks more for food and other "stuff", unfortunately is one of our longer ones.  We say "unfortunately" because we know that most Americans will not read more than a couple of paragraphs of anything.  Which in this case is a shame. Not only does the post go into detail on exactly how you are being screwed over by the Banks, other corporations and the government,
but if read closely may show you how you can make some bucks.

But then the Government, banks and "Drive by Media" (yes sadly we admit to having listened to Rush, but then if you do not know who the real enemy is, how will you defeat them?) counts on YOU not educating yourself.  Because if you did, there ain't no way in hell you would let them get away with it.  OR at least if you did it would be because you made the educated choice to be a sheeple.

So we will make you a deal.  Read the "Deregulation" post.  If it pisses you off and you can't find the part you can make some bucks off of, well then fine. You should be pissed.  We should all be pissed.
What the corporations and their pimps the government is doing to us should make you crazy.  Especially when it is WE THE PEOPLE allowing it.

But heres the gig, I put a lot of work into that post, so if you do see part where you can make some bucks, see that little donate button in the upper right hand corner?

Our biggest problem is when the government allows industry to use our taxpayer dollars against us!  Our second biggest problem is a public that either doesn't understand government, industry and finance, or just flat out doesn't give a damn.

We like most people do not like being regulated. We prefer to think of ourselves as independent. But we are not. Without federal spending most of us would have a much lower standard of living.  The problem is many do not realize just how much federal monies impact Jobs.  When you include Education, aerospace, farming, defense spending, construction and any number of jobs created by government (NASA and the internet are probably two of the biggest government created job generators other than war) or people in jobs that are supported by the money that people in government created jobs spend, it adds up quickly.  In fact the state of Maryland is totally dependent on federal spending (see also: States Addicted to Federal Spending? Rhetoric Against Spending Far From Reality).

Yes, the government does a lot of stupid stuff with money such as build bridges to nowhere and other pork, some elected "by the people" representative manage to deal for.  But the really stupid thing the government has done with taxpayer dollars is bailout banks without insuring accountability or restricting them from engaging in the same corrupt actions they engaged in that "caused" our current problems.
