Having been in employed in a field that was very adept at re-framing and reshaping language in order to increase Government and insurance funding, we can tell you that this part of any business has become a highly specialized art. i.e. How to change the wording to make an issue the public does not support to an issue the public will. Millions of dollar are spent by all parties when it comes to refining the message they wish to send.
Representative Eric Cantor is a very good example of the above. He has caught flack from all sides of the political spectrum for his remarks regarding Aid to Hurricane Irene victims. It is not that he broke ranks with "Ideology", it is the timing and the words chosen that got him into trouble. Obviously he went out on a limb without first having checked with his parties marketing people and having his statements focus grouped first. Had he done so, we suspect we would have heard a more homogenized version of what he really thought. This mistake, was a bonus for the democrats.
Today the following from the Tea Party hit our mailbox with a request for donations which we will parse for accuracy (donate buttons were removed, sorry let em go back to the Koch Brothers):

Labor Department Agreements
Protect Illegal Workers!
Labor Secretary Hilda Solis has overseen a number of signed agreements
between U.S. agencies and foreign officials pledging to give migrant workers the
full protections of U.S. workplace laws - regardless of their legal status - and
she says her department will uphold them.
"No matter how you got here or how long you plan to stay, you have certain
rights," Solis said at an event unveiling the latest agreements on Monday in
Washington.
(Us: This whole Obama destroys the workforce and the blame laid at the foot of illegal immigrants is so blatantly inaccurate, also known as a lie, that the only excuse we can find for continuing such is the goal of focusing on and gaining support from the bigotry and prejudices of a certain part of American Public that still beleive in Boogeymen. Even Steve Forbes, one time conservative Presidential candidate, advocate of the "Flat Tax" and publisher of the highly respected Forbes Magazine, has debunked this urban legend. In fact they published a very good article on how immigration is a must for the health of the economy. The real culprits are the Multi National corporations that for years, under numerous presidents, has been shipping manufacturing jobs overseas to take advantage of slave labor that is cheaper than that of an illegal immigrant working in the fields of this country. Two egregious examples would be Apple Corp. And General Electric:

. It is commonly accepted that our immigration systems is broken beyond repair. It is broken in such a manner that those who try to come her legally are punished.
Also keep in mind that during the 2008 banking collapse, banks were advocating that they be allowed to bring in foreign workers who work for less?????
As to protection by workplace laws. Those laws protect workers and lessen the impact on the economy caused by working conditions that lead to injury and death. Unfortunately they do not do a very good job.)
