| Tallahasseans, beam from a destroyed WTC building. Oh yes, in your town! |

Since we started posting on "Occupy Wall Street" we have received an e-mail or two going, rcccccccc, do you know whose behind the protests???? Well, not on a first name basis, no. But as we stated in a previous post, "been there, done that" along with, these folk know what they are doing. This is not a leaderless group because some of these folk are good/well organized. In fact some of these people are as good, if not better, than the Tea Party financiers whose agenda is to allow wall street to keep sticking it to you. And the Point is???
In a private exchange with a "bikers rights activist" which in many circles is a nom de plume for "Far Right bigot who owns a motorcycle and only believes in their rights and screw anybody else's". Count the number of Blacks in your local ABATE chapter if you have any questions. And do not get me wrong, because I know Blacks that own motorcycles and ride in clubs that do not allow white folk to join too, o.k. I had to remind the dude if you push a fat kid on a swing to hard in any direction you best get out of they way because they will take you out at the knees on the rebound.
I guess I figure, if I got one foot on the right and one foot on the left spread far enough apart I ain't pissing down my leg. But here's the gig and it's a Microcosm of a countrywide malaise.
On 9-11, 2011, the local fire fighters were proud of their efforts to get a beam from one of the destroyed WTC buildings. They had it on a trailer to be displayed during the 9-11 remembrance run to the Florida State Capital. You know how many people out of the whole Tallahassee area bothered to show up??? Maybe 200 +/-. Who of course had to stop at every red light as this treasured piece of history was escorted to the Capital because the Tallahassee Police can't be bothered with blocking a few red lights.
But let a DownTown get down happen on the eve of an FSU football game happen and My God. They block off a heap of streets and people come out of the woodwork to get drunk, party and go yeehaw........ In fact, there happened to be a downtown get down going on the night of the candle light vigil at the World War Two memorial during POW/MIA days. People just streaming by to get to the get down. You know how many stopped to take a few moments from their beer guzzlin, yee hawin to say a few words of thanks to the monument to those who gave their lives for THEM???
None that I am aware of! Their were two college ladies that stopped to get their pics taken with some Bikers, ohhhhhhhhh, but then that was only part of some prize gig being put on by Budweiser. So once they got there pics they were gone.
