Oppressive military detention-SB1253-ACT

Before we end up occupying and contributing to the support and welfare of the United States Prison Industry:

Thankfully the Department of Defense, the FBI, and a bipartisan block of senators oppose this bill, and President Obama has threatened to veto it if the dangerous provisions aren’t removed. Yet despite this opposition, Senators Carl Levin (D-MI) and John McCain (R-AZ) are leading the charge to impose these detention authorities on Americans in violation of our most fundamental rights and freedoms.
This is America. We have rights, and we demand that our government respect and protect them.

U.S. Unemployment numbers scam-numbers up, reality down!

next we takee United States
CNBC was going orgasmic over the unemployment numbers released today.  Markets, with Banks leading the way, attempted to. But truth is truth is truth and it is getting harder to find on Cable TV.  But then the owners of cable news networks have a vested interest in keeping you dumb.  So here is the  truth, the unemployment number sucked.  And when it comes to unemployment figure our default man to go to is Karl Denninger of Market Ticker who on these numbers posted, The Employment Report Is An Intentional FABRICATION?

Expanding on his post, from San Francisco Chronicle:

Factory payrolls increased by 2,000, less than the survey forecast of a 9,000 increase and following a 6,000 gain in the previous month.

Employment at service-providers increased 126,000, including a 50,000 gain in retail trade at companies hired for the holiday shopping season. The number of temporary workers increased 22,300.

Construction companies shed 12,000 workers. Government payrolls decreased by 20,000. State and local governments employment dropped by 16,000, while the federal government trimmed 4,000 positions.

Average hourly earnings fell 0.1 percent to $23.18, today's report showed. The average work week for all workers held at 34.3 hours.

The so-called underemployment rate -- which includes part- time workers who'd prefer a full-time position and people who want work but have given up looking -- decreased to 15.6 percent from 16.2 percent.

The report also showed an increase in long-term unemployed Americans.

And the all important number,
The number of people unemployed for 27 weeks or more increased as a percentage of all jobless, to 43 percent from 42.4 percent.
Which leads to Mr. Denningers final chart and statement:

Plus one for conservatives-screw Europe

Greece one
The Hill is reporting republicans in congress are considering measures to stop the IMF in their efforts to, in effect, restructure in a way to make it easier to bail out some of the more troubled European markets, e.g. Spain and Italy (Greece is toast).  Our contention has been that, The U.S. is broke and since the U.S. is major source of funding for the IMF, how can "We the People" afford to bail out European countries that even Germany, the strongest member of the EU, is reluctant to bail out. U.S. citizens get few of social perks that France, Italy and Spain's citizens do.  Maybe we should be putting the shoe on the other foot and ask them to bail us out since they seem reluctant give up a few of their benefits.

And no we are not in denial regarding the double-edged sword effect allowing the EU to break-up or crash would have on the U.S. and the world economy.  In fact the financial markets are already retreating on the news, despite the "fixed" U.S. Unemployment rates.
