Both parties lying about energy independence-video

Recently we saw Republican Candidate Romney promising energy Independence within so many years. But then how many presidential candidates in the recent past have promised Energy independence? Ummmm, all of them maybe!  But it's a sham, a lie and nothing more than a sound byte to get your vote. The question becomes, are you stupid enough to believe them.

T. Boone Pickens is arguably the most knowledgeable energy guy in the United States today. He puts his money where his mouth is and has made a fortune doing so. He has talked to both the Obama Camp and the Romney camp. To quote Mr. Pickens: "They don't know anything about energy in Washington. They don't understand it,"  Here he is on CBS:
So could we become energy independent. Yes! In a very short time putting millions of people back to work, reducing the cost of transportation, and improving the economy. All we need is a comprehensive plan to change from an oil based economy to a natural gas based economy. But then that would also require that we do not sell as much gas overseas as we do. Whoops, go figure............
