NDAA 2012: Obama Uses New Year's Eve As Cover To Usher In Fourth Reich Amerika

The last day of 2011 was also the last day of representative democracy in America, as Corporate Fascist Puppet President Barack Obama chose the New Year's Eve holiday to sign the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012 (H.R.1540) into law:

Little if any mention of this quiet coup was made in our corporate-controlled television news, so if you were busy celebrating, updating your Fakebook page or keeping up with the Kardashians, here's the 411:

Along with signing NDAA, Obama released a Presidential Signing Statement in which he assured "Moreover, I want to clarify that my Administration will not authorize the indefinite military detention without trial of American citizens. Indeed, I believe that doing so would break with our most important traditions and values as a Nation."

That sounds reassuring, but it doesn't mean much. "Presidential Signing Statements" are political documents that have no Constitutional basis and do not modify the laws to which they refer. In these Orwellian times, Obama's empty promise that we have nothing to worry about should warn us that in fact we have plenty to worry about.
No more Left. No more Right. Time to Unite. Stand and Fight!

Office of the Press Secretary

Statement by the President on H.R. 1540

Today I have signed into law H.R. 1540, the "National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012." I have signed the Act chiefly because it authorizes funding for the defense of the United States and its interests abroad, crucial services for service members and their families, and vital national security programs that must be renewed. In hundreds of separate sections totaling over 500 pages, the Act also contains critical Administration initiatives to control the spiraling health care costs of the Department of Defense (DoD), to develop counterterrorism initiatives abroad, to build the security capacity of key partners, to modernize the force, and to boost the efficiency and effectiveness of military operations worldwide.

Sharing with Brothers in the wind 2012-New Years day

On New Years day, 2011, while many are headed to the beach or settling down in front of the T.V. for yet another ball game, some are gathering at various sities to make the trip to 30 miles from nowhere, where sits a monument watching over the scattered ashes of THOSE IN THE WIND. You can go here,   Bikers Monument to Freedom-New Years ceremony to learn the history of the monument.  Which is important. Often times we become divorced from our history, and when we do, we lose ourselves.

But reading the history is not like being there.  Those of us who have been there. And keep going back. Understand through witness, the power of the grey monolith in the middle of nowhere, flanked by an old oak and a bell, made by one whose name now graces the monument which rings as each name is solemnly read off and new ashes laid at it's base.  A bottle always stands at the monument ready for anyone who may wish to share a drink with, or offer a toast to, those who lay at it's base waiting to visit with  those who have not forgotten what we are all about.  Brotherhood.

The kind of Brotherhood that puts, riding in the cold or rain to pay respects above all else.  These are the people that understand.  The last of a dying breed.

Thanks now to the Red and Black who have arranged for this tradition to continue.  And a Special Thanks to old dog/Papa John who understood the importance of this monument from the beginning and insured that despite all odds it has survived to now.

Thanks to  "Z"  who despite a bad case of Bronchitis rode over and helped to take pics.

It is not your death I remember, it is your life, it is that, that defined you
So it is not your death I mourn, but your life I celebrate and the obligation you have left
can I conduct myself in such a way, that today you would still call me brother!Add to Technorati Favorites
