In our previous 2 posts here and here, we spent time focusing on veterans charity scams, most notably the Disabled Veterans Foundation. Were not sure that many drew any correlation between that which we wrote and the title of these posts "Uneducated Patriotism is Dangerous." Because our contention would be that many of the flag waving self professed proclamations of patriotism that escalated to a roar after 9-11 were/are Bullshit! O.K. your free to click out now if your reality is tenuous and you can not handle the truth.
Last week we confronted persons claiming to represent "Disabled Veterans Foundation" soliciting money from passer by's on the streets of Crawfordville, Fl. That confrontation led to the video we put together that can be seen here, Uneducated Patriotism is dangerous- VICE video. We were able to find their tax records here. Which really tells you little, but does raise red flags when you look at line 14 and line 28a keeping in mind that previous reports indicate that the president and only paid employee (according to this version of tax report because there are others) many of the Disabled Veterans Foundation affiliated with for profit Nue ways Inc. Which when googled list it as a "Transitional Home for Men" with a website under construction since 2004??? And it is also listed here as,

And if you follow the tax filing on line 15 you will see no money spent on printing and publications, postage or handling. Which of course begs the question, where did these come from???? Further down they list amount spent on program services as $12,131.00. In other words, trying to make sense out of anything said or reported by Disabled Veterans Foundation is like learning Mandarin in a day!
But lest anybody think Disabled Veterans Foundation is the only bag of scum out in the pond, oh no, no, no. Sharks love easy prey. And the more easy prey out there, the more sharks multiply. Unfortunately the dumbing down of Americans has resulted in an abundant food supply for sharks!
We have to be honest and say up front we are not big Glenn Beck fans. However truth is truth whatever the source, and to Becks credit, he nails it in the 12 minute video below. The fact that he validates what we said regarding the failure to assume personal responsibility as the reason the populace can be easily duped into giving money to charities ripping people off in the name of veterans and ____(Insert Favorite Cause)___as seen in our previous post Uneducated Patriotism is dangerous- VICE video might be one reason we liked it. But then again, he is speaking the TRUTH.
People rail against the government and all it's agencies. They fight to see who can lay the most blame at any door other than their own. They/we blame political parties, banks, different ethnic groups, and any and all that do not agree with our personal world view. But thats all we do, blame! And so often we are wrong in the direction at which we point our blaming fingers. Because, were to lazy to google the truth of an issue much less get up off our freaking asses and do anything about it.
So before we go off our nut we will just post the video. Then ask yourself, WTF are you doing about AMERICA, besides bitch?
