Distracted Driver Summit: E-mail exchange between American Motorcycle Association and Rights activist

From the American Motorcycle Association

Bruce,

Thank you for the call earlier. Please find below the agenda and list of
panelists currently scheduled by D.O.T. for the Distracted Driving Summit.
We too are disappointed that they have chosen not to include AMA or other
motorcycle organizations on their panel. However, we were successful in
persuading them to allow us to display and distribute AMA's position
statement on distracted driving at the event. We will have a number of AMA
staff on site to observe and participate as much as possible in the
discussion.

The tentative agenda is posted at
http://www.dot.gov/affairs/2009/dot14309.htm.

Subject: RE: Distract Driving Summit Participation and Agenda

Ed,

We have all the links, but thanks.

Are you telling me that on the single most important issue threatening the
lives of American motorcyclists today, that our single most powerful MRO is
going to tolerate being excluded from the first nationwide summit to address
the problem?

I will not settle for that. I hope and encourage many others not to settle
for that.

MAKE A STAND. MAKE A STINK IF YOU HAVE TO. BUT DAMN IT, MAKE A STAND!

Use NVCD if necessary...
