Florida police forcibly remove tampon?

Please know that on this rainy Florida Sunday afternoon we were not googling "LEO tampon removal methods."  In fact we were reading about how Alex Jones of Info Wars and some of his facebook fans are now on the Homeland Security watch list (but since we have heard the "rumors" that face book is an FBI front, after all who but the government could pull off such a disastrous stock offering, we are not surprised). It was there we stumbled across the story of Florida's Citrus County Sheriffs Department pulling over a Leila Tarantino for rolling through a stop sign.

What happened next of course would be beyond belief were it not for the fact that it happened in Florida.  After all we are the land of the hanging chads where a prerequisite for running for Governor is investigation for criminal wrong doing, during which one must claim the 5th amendment 15 times.

Ms. Tarentino has filed a lawsuit claiming Citrus County LEO strip searched her on the side of the road in front of her children.  Apparently not finding what they were looking for, by the side of the road, in front of her kids, they forcibly removed her "tampon". Tarantino Tampon Lawsuit

Proof Apples blowout profits from slavery-no U.S. jobs

We have been banging away at Apple, Inc. for awhile now as the most reprehensible U.S. Corporation knowingly profiting off slavery while at the same time screwing the country that gave it the freedom to engage in Free Market Capitalism.  In fact our contention would be that Apple, inc. should be declared an enemy of the state and brought up on International Human Rights charges.

Before we go into the multi page document released by the New York times to day, lets review it's recent earnings blow out put into perspective by Tech Crunch (Emphasis ours):
Apple added $38 billion in cash to its reserves just in the past year alone, as Horace Dediu points out. They now have $97.6 billion in cash and equivalents. $64 billion of that is offshore, Apple CFO Peter Oppenheimer stated during the call — meaning, it would cost money (taxes) to bring it back into the U.S.
Apple’s cash hoard alone is worth more than all but 52 companies on Earth, as Dennis Bermannotes.
Apple is now the biggest Corporation in America. Once again over taking EXXON.  It know sports a 400+ billion dollar market cap.  Yet still would rather hoard 64 billion of ill gotten gains offshore to insure it keeps every penny of those ill gotten gains!

Apple’s revenues, while massive, are nothing compared to a company like Walmart, which reported$109.5 billion in revenue last quarter. BUT that $109.5 billion only turned into $3.3 billion of actual income for the quarter. In other words, Walmart has more than double the revenues of Apple, but Apple has more than four times the profits of Walmart. That’s remarkable.
Apple’s profits place them on this exclusive list of the most profitable quarters among corporations. You’ll note that Apple is the only company on the list that’s not an oil and gas company. And they’re a “mere” $3.2 billion from the top spot.
We do not find that all that remarkable considering Wal-Mart employ's a significant amount of Americans and much of it's earnings end up circulating in the community where it's stores are located.

Corporatism, we ignored the warnings

We were looking for some links for a friend we we came upon this post we first put up in January of 2011.  It did not have the exact info we were looking for.  But it had more than enough for us to ask, "why are people fighting over politics when it has become so apparent that we have lost the country to the corporations?"  It also had us asking ourselves, "Why are we still posting anything?"  After all, as Xfiles use to say. "The truth is out there!"  Unlike certain other truths however, you know like, it must be morning because I just woke up and the sun is peeking up on the eastern horizon, some truths are not so apparent.  For instance, if me and some of my bros were gonna bust into your house some night and take everything you own, chances are we are not going to call you on the phone and tell you. It will only become a truth for you, AFTER IT HAS HAPPENED!

So while we, by that we mean U.S. citizens, have been arguing over right and left and right and wrong, political parties and the virtues of one president over another, the thief that didn't call has been coming in the back door and taking our shit!  Not that we weren't warned.  The signs were there, but for the most part we did not look for them.  We new things were FU'ed.  We just figured if went about on our own way it would ignore us.  Whoops.  So anyway the following post and it's links are almost like reading about the here and now. So we figured what the hell, we will just repost and figure we have done our good deed for the day. Cause after all, so few read it the first time we doubt many others are gonna read it this time.

Why the General Electric, Obama connection is just the tip of the iceberg

In the councils of government we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. - Dwight D. Eisenhower, 1961

Apple wants it's employees to be Union Aware

mac, mac, please come back from the darkside
This from one of the most secretive companies in the world. That engages in Human rights violation in other parts of the world???  Guess it's time to start on the homie's:
Apple has begun planning how to respond if its retail employees unionize, CNET has learned.
In an internal document obtained by CNET, the company posted information about a training course on the topic, which takes place tomorrow morning and is required to be taken by all new store managers.
"This course is intended to provide managers with a practical understanding of how unions affect the workplace, how and why employees organize, and the legal do's and don'ts of dealing with unions," the training description reads. "This is a mandatory class for all new managers, and is required biannually for all managers."
The posting adds that the course "is a great opportunity to meet our legal team and ask any questions you may have."
The move comes about six months after an employee-driven effort unionize Apple's retail workers. That store-by-store effort, called the Apple Retail Workers Union, cited Apple for providing poor compensation to its part time employees, as well as calling attention to alleged deficiencies in Apple's "break schedules, training opportunities," and "the selection and hiring process for internal candidates for open positions."
An Apple spokesman declined to comment.

Labor Day Greetings Sheeple

From IronBolt Bruce:   Greetings American Sheeple,

I trust you are all enjoying your 2011 "Labor" Day Weekend ... most likely vegging in front of your TV, the filtered portal which provides your primary and generally distorted view of reality ... consuming unnecessarily and in mass quantities, and with no conscious clue as to what is compelling you to do so.

But as I said, I trust you are all enjoying your 2011 "Labor" Day Weekend.  Should I assume most of you know this became a federal holiday in 1894 when, following the murder of many hard-working, underpaid and unafraid workers by their own military and U.S. Marshals during the Pullman Strike, President Grover Cleveland was forced to "deal" with the People?

And where is the American "Labor" movement today?  On "Labor" Day should we be celebrating democracy, or mourning its demise?  Deep down inside, until the job lost is YOUR job, will you ever really give a flying f**k one way or the other?

Whatever...  A holiday's a holiday, so far be it from me to be a party pooper.  Just to square things, allow me to share a free and full-length classic Hollywood movie with you:

They Live - by John Carpenter
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWy2LBXjkxw

All I ask is that you watch this movie (instead of NASCAR races, football games and other meaningless diversions) and then ask yourself these two simple questions:

1.  What was the underlying message of this movie?

2.  Why is Bruce sharing this message with me now?

If you find these questions too far-fetched for your comfort zone, no problem.  I invite you to instead (or better yet also) seek answers to these:

1.  About half of all U.S. Representatives and two-thirds of all U.S. Senators are millionaires.  How wealthy are your three representatives in Washington DC?

2.  How much of the wealth of your three representatives in Washington DC existed prior to their entry into politics, and how much was derived directly or indirectly as a result of it?

3.  How much of the wealth of your three representatives in Washington DC was acquired after 11 September 2001?

America's foreign policy, like it's domestic policy? So why Libya?

During another interesting exercise of talking heads engaging in mental masturbation on CNN Friday night, David Gergen was asked on CNN about our intervention in Libya versus our hands off policy in regards to Tunisia and Egypt.  We found the response quite interesting, disturbing, sad and probably true.  Mr. Gergen responded with, and we are paraphrasing here, that the difference was between that which are the principles on which this country was founded and that which is in the Nations best interest?

We of have long intimated that America is suffering from schizophrenia.  And not just in foreign policy, but domestically too.  We use to think that the problem was just plain hypocrisy.  However we are now convinced that the incestuous relationship between politicians and corporations, the dumbing down of America (In a recent poll  73% of the respondents did not know what the cold war was about), or plain just don't give a damn has metastasized.

America, worlds largest human rights violater by proxie-will it bite us in the ass

Theoretically, in America, "we the people" are the government.  Most of us who live in America consider ourselves "free". If that is true, why then are we voluntarily contributing to human rights violations all over the world and propping up illegitimate Dictators. Do we ever give it a second thought?

America has a long history of propping up dictators and totalitarian regimes with a history of human rights abuses (see this post US political and Corporate disregard for the foundations our country was built on ).

Even here on our own "home land" plantation owners and factory owners engaged in slavery, worker abuse and child labor.  We believe this would still be the case had not American workers organized, formed Unions and other labor associations and demanded better working conditions.  It got quite bloody has the corporate man hired thugs try and beat them into submission.

The deterioration of the unions began, as is true with many organizations, as they too became corrupt. Unfortunately they could not become as corrupt as the government who under Reagan was able to topple the Air Controllers Union giving large American Corporations hope, they would be freed from being responsible employers and members of society..

However by that time, the government saw the need to regulate/monitor corporations as mines collapsed due to poor safety conditions caused by mine owners cutting cost at the expense of safety. .  Then the people got a bit concerned when they learned that their hamburger contained a fair amount of rat feces  and human body parts due to  lack of oversight in the meet packing industry.  Some whacked out folk even believed that children should not be able to work full time until they reached a certain age.

Of course blind eyes had to be turned to allow farm workers to cross the borders so that the large farm owners flush with subsidies could profit off the tomatoes and lettuce that we probably would not buy were we to pay a fair price.

But then, after a number of wars and the easing of tensions with foreign countries, American corporations found a better way. They were allowed to "help" other countries develop. Under the premise that if we showed the populace the benefits of a free market system they  might revolt and ask for freedom, fair wages and democracy. Kind of like what is happening in North Africa and the middle east now.

Keep in mind though, that it isn't just American Corporations abandoning the American worker for a population they could use and abuse in order to increase their bottom line and better line their pockets.

We, yes this we acknowledges our part in contributing to the mistreatment of others by proxy also, the people have supported the oppression of other people.  In numerous ways.  We supported it by buying the products of slave labor.  How many of us started shopping at Walmart because they only "sold products  "made in America by Americans"?  And how many of us stopped as they started selling foriegn goods on the cheap?  Not to mention Walmarts court cases defending themselves against worker complaints on this side of the ocean.

Then of course there are the tax dollars and American made weapons, that by the millions, have ended up in the pockets and warehouses of Dictators, Sultans, kings and princes of totalitarian regimes that use the millions to keep their people enslaved so that we, the free country, can have access to cheap Iphones and oil!

But what happens when the people whose misery we have contributed to, decide they want freedom and democracy too?  And after having women and children raped, killed and left laying in the streets ask us for help?

Oh well now we don't know about that. We aren't reaal sure what right we have to stop you all from getting killed, raped and left laying in the street in the name of Freedom.

But then they, the government/corporatioins and the rest of us,  probably dont remember or give a damn that were it not for the french we would still be paying taxes to the King!

Kinda like we got no problem blowing into Iraq. Over what we still do not know. But we damn sure watching  how we talk about Saudi Arabia who still treats women like "property."

It's even more ironic and/or absurd when we trash their religion as we extol the virtues of our Christian heritage and wonder why they get mad at us after years of being oppressed with our help????

Call me crazy, but were I them I'd tell us where to put it.  But then the money always wins doesn't it.
It's the truism Las Veegas relies on.

But we shall learn. As the governors and representatives claiming to profess independence and liberty collected funds from the Koch party to buy their offices so they could immediately started screwing the working man/woman,

Welcome to America, land of the what????????  Just remember, what goes around comes around. It's like a Karma thing.

America in Decline Part 2, it's not the economy Stupid, it's us

If you read the preceding post America in decline, if we don't stop it who will? it should be obvious that America is much worse shape than most of us realize.  The implications are that no matter which side of the political fence you may ride, left or right, we are all going to suffer.  It is no longer a question of "if", it is now a question of "when."  The question of "when" will be answered not by politicians of any political party, but by how long it will take, "WE THE PEOPLE", to get OUR stuff together.

Yes, the economy is rotten and fore-closure gate coupled with QE II will only insure that it is going to get worse.  Kicking the can down the road on the hopes that our grandchildren will foot the bill will no longer work. It is coming due, NOW!

Help empty prison beds in Florida

HELP
BREAK
THE
CHAINS

Recently we have posted on what should be a National Disgrace for a country that bills itself as the "Land of the Free". And that is the fact that we imprison more people per capita than any other country in the world. (See here for the post and links).

We followed that up with how the state of Florida is embarking on dangerous territory that if successful will insure the need to build more prisons (see here). Make no mistake about it. The Prison lobby in this country is strong. There is a lot of money to be made building and maintaining prisons and the people that make that money are being paid by YOU!

I want to ask for YOUR help to right what could be a terrible injustice that will hurt many who can not help themselves and insure that the prison industry will continue to profit off the backs
of the oppressed and the infirm.

The state of Florida in an effort to "save" money wants to cut out ALL inprison substance abuse treatment. They want to cut out, intervention programs such as drug courts and reduce probation officer positions by anywhere from 350 to 650 depending on what source you use.

Now not having any crushes on probation officers, consider the impact this will have. Judges will not let people out of prison if there is no probation officer for them to report to.

Studies have shown that as much as 70% of our prison population is made up individuals who were involved in some manner with alcohol and/or drugs when arrested. In most cases the arrest was for a non-violent crime and in many cases it was victimless.

Studies have also shown that treatment works. It keeps people out of prison and it cuts down on the recidivism of those who have been in prison. And for those more concerned with dollars and common sense, it is cheaper than warehousing people who in many cases suffer from a disease and need "Treatment". This benefits ALL of us.

Although this is more than a "Biker" issue, if you have been involved in the Biker lifestyle for any length of time you know the impact alcohol/drugs has on our community. If we are to be FREEDOM FIGHTERS, then what better calling than to contribute to freeing the individual from the bondage of self and state. Following is a list of legislators that need to be written regarding this issue. Please help (the first link above contains many links and statistics proving our contention).

It appears at times there is some sort of disconnect in the minds of the American Public in that there is no outrage over government actions if it does not directly impact each one of us as individuals. What we fail to realize is that "everything" the government does impacts each and every one of us because each and every one of us pays for a every little thing the government does. Including the expenditure of $400 billion dollars to bail out banks who made stupid decisions and not lifting a finger to help you. Please do not allow inaction to harm when your action could help. Ride free and remember while you can. rcAdd to Technorati Favorites
